St. Gabriel Organics Milky Spore Granular Grub Control, 15lb

I applied this to my yard, front and back, last year in the fall hoping to reduce the number of Japanese beetles that emerge in the spring. They were destroying everything despite me picking thousands of them and dropping them into soap/water solution. Which is so time consuming! My neighbors haven't done anything to their yards, and everyone says this does nothing if they don't. But this summer I've had a DRAMATIC decrease in the number of beetles and other neighbors haven't. They've been really easy to handle. The price has raised but I still will purchase it again to keep these pests under control.

The instructions state that this product needs used for a couple years (6 applications). Its state it takes 6 applications (spring, summer, fall -> repeat). It is a process to get Japanese beetles under control with the use to Milky spores. It takes time and be patient. It is worth it the time, effort and cost of the product.

bought this for getting rid of those "lovely" shiny Japanese Beetles. Very easy to apply - the granules are much better than other products that friends have used that made them wear a mask against the dust. Highly recommend.

I am halfway through the two-year program of three annual applications of the product. It has been strongly recommended to me for elimination of grubs, as the ultimate solution that lasts a good ten years. I am fully onboard but no finished yet.

It really works. I had a beetle infestation this year. They destroyed my cherry blossom tree and roses. I applied milky spore on a Sunday. In mid-October. It rained that night, but not much. The instructions say that the granules are water activated so I ran the sprinklers that Tuesday. Grubs started coming out of the ground immediately. I am a completely satisfied customer. It’s rare that you see product results so immediately. My yard is like a mine field of dead grubs I mostly live it because it’s safe for my pets and won’t kill the pollinators in my cottage style garden. The instructions say that it’s most effective with 6 separate applications. Apply in spring, summer, and fall for 2 years. I will be purchasing more for my spring application. For those complaining about it not working, it may be because you have a different type of grub. This product is solely for Japanese beetle grubs!

I'll give the product the benefit of the doubt that it's good milky spore, but I won't buy it again. Problem is that it only targets Japanese beetles. The yard has to have an infestation for the spore to multiply, and it takes several quarterly applications before the stuff starts winning the war against the beetles. I'm not a fan of Japanese beetles, but I'd like to target more. I bought some traps, and they're having an immediate impact. Not buying any more milky spore.

My neighbors pay a fortune to put poison on their lawns. I apply this each spring and no grubs!!! I mean ZERO!!! We all have wells and they’re poisoning the ground water when they could just use this! Be smart. Use this product and save money and the environment.

I’ve been using this stuff for at least 10 years. One thing I’ve noticed is that there’s not a grub to be found in my yard or garden. Definitely cuts down on the Japanese beetles as well. However, as far as Japanese beetles go, it only really works if your neighbors use it too because they fly in from miles away. But you don’t get the same brown spots in your lawn that your neighbors will because there are no beetle grubs eating the roots of your lawn. The only problem is this stuff gets more and more expensive.. All in all, definitely worth it.
