Insure the mounting nuts ate kept tight
Very good product. I ordered these for use on my Harbor Freight paint shaker 5 years ago and they worked perfectly reducing vibrations. The only reason they failed was because I didn't make sure the mounting nuts were tight the last time I used it. Keep the mounting nuts tight and they will last forever.

These work if installed correctly
These work, noise is reduced to almost nothing at the bedroom above the garage. You are suspending a heavy vibrating motor on rubber isolators that are installed on shear so please be careful. They may pop out if not supported. After I installed 2, the isolators twisted and since they are just compressed rubber at the mounting bolts, over tightening them will shear off the rubber. I added a diagonal brace to each side of the opener to install 4 instead of 2 isolators. The 4 isolators made the install much more stable (no more twisting) and they can handle the weight of the motor long term. I added 1.5” X 5/8” washers to both sides of the isolators to help the bolts inside press against the rubber. I added locking washers to prevent the nuts from unscrewing without over tightening. And lastly I added a rubber bungee cord to help take some of the load off the isolators and provide extra insurance. To reduce the noise inside the garage I installed Noico (same as Dynamat) inside the opener housing.

Mini split added protection
Better vibration control on a new mini split the ones the bracket came with was a joke and broke down in a few months , these help a lot with vibration start and stop with the compressor that's mounted on the side of the house esp with a wooden frame ... Unfortunately when the mini split runs on heat it's a bit more loud and these cut down on the transfer of sound to the inside of the house

Dropped noise from 70 to 60 decibels but needs external support.
Dropped noise from 70 to 60 decibels. If you don't tighten them enough, they will sag. If tightened too much, the bolts will tear out of the rubber isolator (see various photos by others). They definitely reduce noise but they're not strong enough to reliably and safely hold the motor up. Add either heavy duty zip ties or bungee cords to relieve most of the motor weight. I like them and would order again.

Worked Like a Charm
I had a motor mounted on a steel frame with an electrical breaker box, and the box rattled something fierce when the motor was running. There were even shock pads beneath the motor, but the bolts ran all the way through the pads and were transferring vibration from the motor to the electrical box, causing the rattle. When I installed these isolator mounts the rattle completely stopped and the motor went back to a gentle hum. Installation took about 10 minutes with a small combination wrench. The nuts and washers came with the mounts. The studs on the mounts were 8 mm, which is almost exactly 5/16", which was the size of the bolts I replaced. Overall, I was amazed at the difference it made by getting an isolator mount that did NOT have a through stud.

Drastically reduces noise in room above
My rating is mostly for the effectiveness in reducing noise in our nursery above the garage. The sound of the garage door opening is now very subtle. I was very reluctant that these would work well. I assumed there was a single bolt that went through the bushing and it would still transfer vibration, but the rubber bushing does a great job isolating the vibration. I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about the nuts coming loose. Just use Loctite or replace the nuts with nylon lock nuts. Bottom line: they work and they're worth a try for the price.

Extremely disappointed with these bolts.
The vibration-damping inserts didn’t work as expected at all. They feel cheap and don’t hold up under normal use, making the garage door noisy and unstable. The quality is poor, and they don’t fit properly, causing more hassle than they solve. Definitely not worth the money, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking to improve their garage door performance. Save yourself the frustration and look for a more reliable alternative.
