I purchased this slotted spoon to replace a plastic one. I was a bit reluctant as it is shallow and wide. However when using it I found it to be well balanced and the wide shallow bowl allows more items to be drained per “ spoonful”. It is well made and solid.

This skimmer is sturdy and a welcome addition to my frequently used kitchen utensils

Works as described

I dip two boiled eggs out of hot water and very tiny drip; big enough to dip four eggs out of hot water.The handle is plenty long, and plenty of slots.

Nice heavy duty slotted spoon

I had bought another skimmer/ladle but it turned out to be too flat to hold eggs without them falling off so I returned it. This one has just a little more concavity so it holds four eggs at a time well allowing me to lower them gently into the hot water. It also works well for getting them out when they're done.
