I've been looking for New Mexico chili for a very long time and tried different brands. This is the one most like the chili my mom used to buy in Las Cruces. Makes great stacked enchiladas.

I looked for "New Mexico chile powder" from Amazon. This product came up and I ordered it. When I received it, I see in smaller print "Product of Mexico." Amazon has told me it isn't returnable. This is false advertising. I wanted and ordered what they labeled as chile powder from the state of New Mexico, not the country of Mexico. Very disappointing. Beware.

I'm a big fan of New Mexico chili powder. It has a very distinctive flavor. This product wasn't even close...maybe it's because it's from California. Whatever the reason, I cannot recommend it.

Used this on a couple of recipes within a week and loved the flavor of provided my dishes. Loved the flavor profile from this spice made of New Mexico chilies.
