Great wine carrier
Many years ago I bought a wine carrier that consisted of a cardboard box with a Styrofoam insert. It worked well for about two dozen flights and lasted about 8 years, both transcon and international. In fact, it only needed replacing when TSA decided to break the foam top to open it rather than lifting it out. The downside of this box is that it was difficult to carry - either being too light or very cumbersome when full. This is a slightly better solution - take that same exact box, put a nylon case around it and give it wheels and a handle. It works great. I was able to draw a diagram on the box showing TSA how to inspect it, and since it is in a zippered case, I don't need to carry tape to constantly seal the box for transport.I imagine the foam will give out eventually, but that's easy to replace over time.

Sturdy, and easy to travel with
I love this! Mine has been with me on car and plane trips, to Denver, NY, MI, FL and Australia, where I dragged it all over the country. It’s held up amazingly.

Kept cold
Worked well getting my wine back from wine country with a 7 hour flight.
