The best soft cookies ever made

Myself and old friends used to get these in the red packaging way back in middle and high school (for me the mid to late 2000s) out of vending machines. They were super popular and I'm surprised they seemingly never changed the recipe. They are still just as soft and chewy as they were back then. I have not gotten many broken cookies from this product before, they are usually 95% intact. The chocolate can melt if it's super hot where you are, but just put them in the fridge for a bit and stop whining. Good price!

As a long-time addict of Keebler Soft Batch Cookies, I was disappointed when they changed to become Keebler Soft Baked cookies at my local grocery store two months ago. It is different formulation and does not have the same texture or taste as the classic Soft Batch variety. I was delighted to find that Amazon still had them, but my recent order of this from Amazon has arrived at the Soft Baked version. I think Keebler may be discontinuing Soft Batch, but I am not sure. I just want others to know what you are getting and avoid the disappointment if you are looking for the Keebler Soft Batch chocolate chip cookies.

I don’t remember the ones years ago having such a chemical taste. Won’t repurchase.
