By all means I am not a doctor so I would always advise to consult a doctor before self medicating. i have found for me that these pessaries really do work better than the standard medication you get prescribed for BV. Yes I am one of those unfortunate women who constantly suffer from BV and after endless doctor appointments, creams, medications I decided to try these as a last resort. They come in small folded packets so easy to carry without anyone noticing. small “bullet” type shape (best way i can describe them) and they go in pretty easily without force or any sort of pain or discomfort. I do have to say that as you dont get an applicator, my best advise for comfort - before bed, lay down, open wide, and just slide in (sorry if too graphic). I usually push a little higher to ensure it stays in and gets to work in all my area. Make sure you empty your bladder before inserting & let the magic work. Always use before bedtime!! I do usually put a pillow underneath just to elevate myself as i have found it can leak or disintegrate so wear a panty liner just in case. By the morning the fishy/offensive odor is gone!! But definitely get seen by a doctor before self medicating!!

Great product works very well for B.V. or if you think things are just out of balance. I use this often to keep in balance esp when I had a coil.

Seems a bit dramatic but I really was hoping this would work!!I checked out all reviews and it’s crazy how my experience has been like so many of the 1 star ratings. Day 1 and 2 of taking this was bliss, the product worked super well and I should’ve stopped there. But this is a 7 day course so I wanted to complete it, day 3 I was itchy, sore, red, swollen and my discharge was cottage cheese like so it gave me thrush!! I’ve only ever had thrush once and that was 9 years ago when I was 18!!I even took an STD test cause this wasn’t normal and I’d never experienced this before!It’s been 6 days since I’ve used balance activ, a pessary helped calm my girl down and canesten cream has been applied religiously 3 times a day but I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin as I have with this!As a 1-2 day treatment this could work but 7 is calling for arson!
