RIP! The new recipe SUCKS!
This USED to be one of the best cereals ever, but the most recent batch I got is totally different. The texture is twice as "hard" and the pieces don't taste nearly as good.

It's a good dessert cereal
Take a half-cup berries or chopped peaches, add 1/3 of a serving of Cracklin' Oat Bran, 1 Tbsp. cream, 1 Tbsp. water; now warm it in the microwave and stir it all together and you have a tasty treat that's not far off in flavor from an old-fashioned cobbler. Or kind of break this up and mix it into some plain yogurt with berries and add a little honey to it.We never eat cereal as a breakfast food, but we love it sometimes used as an ingredient in a quick snack or dessert, and Cracklin' Oat Bran works really well for that since it's kinda sweet and has some good cinnamony flavor.

Sorry, Wheaties, this is what REAL champions eat
Don't be fooled by the fiber and whole grain, or by their modest appearance - these little crunchy rings of deliciousness have just the right amount of sweetness and texture to make your morning great. My college roommate and I used to call it "Crack Cocaine Bran," because it's only slightly less addictive. It is on the Mount Rushmore of cereals, for sure.

Been loving this for years
This cereal is so underrated and underappreciated. It tastes good and contains lots of break. Yes there is a fair amount of sugar to but that is a contribution to why it tastes good. If you don't like the bland taste of bran, they this stuff.

PERFECT CEREAL!
...so of course, they discontinue it. Idk, it might have been a little high in sugar to satisfy the healthy oats crowd, but gosh, it is delicious!

An All-Time Favorite!
This is one of my all-time favorite cereals and I haven't seen it in local stores in years, so I was actually excited to see it offered on Amazon. While it does have a fair amount of sugar in it, you don't need to add any extra to make it taste good and it's not that often you can get a bit of extra fiber in your diet without that saw-dusty taste so often found in higher fiber cereals. I like it!

Tasty, but check your teeth
Tasty, but a bit too hard for 5 stars. Twiddle your fingers while they sit in the milk for a while. Or smash them to smaller bits; I did, but it's a bother. If you like super crunchy, be my guest.
