Easy Peasy
Worked as advertised. My only suggestion or desire would be a larger gauge needle. The small gauge ones can and do clog very easily. Thats not an issue with the product just something that would further improve a fine experience in my opinion. The jar is thicc and good quality. My spores took off and I had thick mycelium with in a week. The growth was fast AF.

Works great for small projects
This worked great, and it was super easy to use! I only needed one liquid culture for a project and couldn’t be bothered doing all the work so I got this. Even after the better part of a year and dozens of extractions my liquid culture is still going strong with no contamination. I’m not 100% on the solution used, but it only took about two weeks for it to be fully colonized.

Over priced and ready to be contaminated
I would not buy this item again. Whatever was used is very dark making it hard to see what’s going on. Also after about two injections into the styrofoam port, a hole is left. I lost a whole batch of LC due to contamination. Knowing how easy it is to make your own now, I dunno why anyone would pay so much for what they could make themselves for around $5 a jar and with silicon injection ports instead of crappy styrofoam.

Customer Support won me over for life !
So I when I received my jar there was some cloudy sediment in the bottom. Fearibg contaminants I ended up reaching out to Midwest Grow Kits since their name is on the box. When looking online I wasn’t sure who to contact bc Myco Labs and Midwest GK have a close business relationship from what I could find. Midwest got back to me very quickly and had me send them some photos. They responded, reassuring me that what I was seeing was just some undissolved dextrose and nothing to worry about. They said they could send me another kit directly from their warehouse house. I told them it was fine, that if they said it was good that was enough for me. Well today just delivered and unexpected surprise, I guess the way that I had read/interpreted what they said was that they could, but really it meant that they were sending it. Great customer service and support. The first jar looks very similar to the first. The liquid is a little less amber tinted and less sediment but other than that it looks good. I will be trying it out soon and hopefully remember to update this when I have more to say. I will definitely be purchase more Midwest products in the future. The instructions are clear, the amount of live culture you can create from this kit will save you a lot compared to how much ready to inoculate syringes cost individually. It maybe cheaper to create your own kits using raw materials but, that requires quite a bit of preparation/work and equipment not everyone has( ie pressure canner/autoclave). If you don’t have all of that or feel like letting someone else do all the work, this is the product for you.

High hopes
I had high hopes for this kit. The packaging is wonderful and the price was good. I recently just moved states and don’t have the opportunity to set my flow hood up just yet. I do, however, have a still air box that I work out of for the time being. I had very little culture of genetics I saved from previous grows. I was hoping to stretch the culture. This kid seemed perfect. I did notice a few black specs near the rim on the inside of the glass. Against my better judgment, I inoculated the media. Within the first four days, the growth rate was amazing! So, whatever their mix is there some nutrient dense stuff. However, along with the mycelial growth, the black specs began to grow as well, lining just above the liquid line. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but I know I’m not trying to feed whatever contamination this is and lose all these genetics. I did reach out via Amazon to the seller about a week ago and haven’t heard back. I wanted to hold off on leaving a review. I will also update if anything changes or I hear back from the seller. I will definitely be keeping the jar, but it seems like a very expensive jar lol. I will also test the culture on agar to be sure.
