Good value Vitamin D3 plus Vitamin K2 supplement
These vitamin D3 plus vitamin K2 MK7 tablets come in a dark plastic bottle with a plastic screwtop lid. They are small, round, white tablets, easy to take with water. They have no discernible taste or smell, and I have not noticed any unpleasant after-taste or other unwanted side effects. Each tablet contains 4000 IU (100 mcg) of Vitamin D3, which for most people should be plenty. Indeed, the NHS website says this is the maximum safe daily dose, so you shouldn't take more than one a day unless advised by your doctor.Vitamin D is (of course) sometimes known as the Sunshine Vitamin. Our bodies make it naturally with the aid of sunshine on our skin. But in the UK in winter there isn't much sunshine to be had, so it's sensible to supplement in the winter months at least. Personally I take a Vitamin D supplement every day in the winter and alternate days in the summer.Vitamin D helps regulate the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body. These nutrients are needed to keep our bones, teeth and muscles healthy. There is also growing evidence vitamin D can help combat Covid-19 or at least mitigate its symptoms.Vitamin D3 (also known as Cholecalciferol) is known to be better than Vitamin D2 (Ergocalciferol) at boosting the body's Vitamin D level. As it is typically made using lanolin from sheep's wool, however, some vegans may prefer to avoid it (even though no animals are harmed in its production).Vitamin K2 is a lesser-known vitamin, but it plays an essential role in blood clotting, heart health and bone health. It is believed that the benefits of supplementing with K2 are enhanced when combined with Vitamin D, as the two vitamins have a synergistic effect (i.e. they make each other more effective). So it clearly makes sense to combine the two in a single supplement. As I said above, most people won't require more than one tablet a day, so this bottle of 120 tablets should last you four months (and more than that if you choose to take them on alternate days). That makes it pretty good value in my book.Nothing to criticize, so five stars from me.

The tablets are small and easy to drink with water.
Medicines in a dark plastic jar with a tight-fitting lid. The tablets are small and easy to drink with water. There are so many different large capsules out there now that you don't even know how to swallow them. A small tablet contains 2 vitamins D3 + K2 at once, which is very convenient and practical for our everyday life. There are no instructions for use.

A must have
Apparently vitamin D helps protect against our old enemy Covid...I have been taking a vitamin D tablet daily sinceI read about the added protection that Vitamin D provides, so obviously when these came up on my Vine list I immediately ordered them. They are easy to take and not too expensive, so what is there not to love?

At maximum advised strength; a possible question over where these are manufactured?
Firstly I must thank another reviewer who did some research on this ( I am usually equally investigative) Company profile certainly has a registered UK address, but its not possible to find out whether they are just distributors - I do always want to ensure my supplements are physically manufactured in places where I trust the regulatory frameworks. I'm left a little uneasy hereWe are all aware now (or should be) that there seems to be sound evidence that a high percentage of those who are DEFICIENT in Vitamin D are amongst those who are admitted to hospital with CV 19, and are also more likely to be ones ending up in ICU.As those of us living in Northern latitudes are less likely to be producing Vitamin D themselves in winter, and as lockdown earlier in the year also made it less likely we were out and about when we might have been generating Vitamin D from sunlight on skin, plus the fact that worries about the harmfulness of the sun's rays due to the diminishing ozone layer means more of us wear sunscreen - deficiency becomes even more likelyIt is possible, with Covid, that the OLD recommended daily of 1000 IU is way too low. I was taking a 3000 IU and felt comfortable with that. I'm personally not quite easy with 4000 IU, longterm, daily, though, as a vegetarian, my dietary sources of this are pretty low - oily fish, liver, not in my diet, though occasional eggs are - so I DO need supplementation. Unlike the water soluble vitamins, where excess will be peed out, the fat solubles like A + D end up stored, so over consumption is not a good idea.I'm likely to take this high strength every other day, over the winter months, and then revert to my bog standard major high street health retailers' 1000 i.u once the days get longer and warmer and my outdoor exercise exposes more skin for longerThese are easy to take pills
