Don't stay on no matter how much glue is used
Glued, reglued, waited to half dry, didn't wait at all. No matter what we did they just wouldn't stay. I'd get three minutes out of the longest lasting nail, even after having my dog wait ten minutes lying down for glue to dry. Do not advise. Maybe cutting tips off would halp, but I'd try other products first. This was used in a small very inactive slow dog too.

Nail Grippers for Dogs
The media could not be loaded. A few weeks ago, I used this solution for my cherished elderly dog, Daisy, who has been having difficulty navigating the slick surfaces in our house. Despite the fact that she has always been an active dog, I have seen that as she has become older, her paws are not as good at gripping the wooden surfaces as they used to be. Even while I believe it is normal for elderly dogs to lose some of their agility, it is nevertheless depressing to witness them stumble or pause when walking on floors that they used to be able to cross with ease. As a result, I made the decision to give these nail grippers for dogs a go in the hopes that they might assist Daisy in regaining some of her self-assurance and mobility. It would seem that they are constructed from a substance that is both long-lasting and flexible, and they are designed to be easily applied to your dog's nails. Because it is necessary to have a tight fit in order to prevent them from sliding off, I believe that the secret to success in this situation is to make sure that you pick the appropriate size for the exact nail form of your dog. Having said that, it did take me a few attempts before I was able to locate the most effective method, and in the beginning, I did not have much expertise with applying them in an even manner. Nevertheless, with a little bit of patience and Daisy's cooperation, I was able to find out the strategy that was most effective for both of us right away.

Improved stability, but couldn't keep them on
These things really helped my old dog walk on tile and laminate better. But I couldn't keep them on her. Trimmed or not, glue or not, they would start popping off within 6 hrs to 3 days of sticking them on. Had to reapply them twice a day most days. Just wasn't worth the hassle. If your dog's nails are shaped in such a way that they actually stay on, I'm sure they'll benefit from it. But mine was just getting annoyed at me constantly messing with her paws.

Grippy Toes! Mostly great!
We are in the phase of life of our elderly dog's life where we are trying every product to improve their quality of life. I work in the veterinary profession and our practice works with lots of families in similar situations. This is what I will be recommending and using from now on. :)Pros: Soft, flexible material. Do not ride up into nail bed because of closed end! Come with superglue to adhere to nail. Require limited positioning, easier to put on quickly.Cons: Soft silicone wears quickly. Covers fall off with lots of activity, sometimes they can be re-applied.Tips: Roll cover partially inside out, apply glue to end of cover and put tip of nail into end. Unroll onto nail. Move quickly. Our dog's arthritic paws do not appreciate extended handling. Do not use too much glue, it will stick to the hair or toe. Trim/clip hair around nails. Cut (before applying to nail) excess silicone off the back if it looks like covers will come into contact with nail bed. Thoroughly check for any pinching of or glue on toes/skin/hair.

Do not buy
Within 24 hours all of the toe grips were gone. Paid for the grips and the vet tech to apply them all for nothing!

Do not stay, even with glue
Not sure if the glue was old, or just poor quality. However, these toenail caps were extremely hard to get on and then came off even with the glue.

These worked great.
The media could not be loaded. These were a good fit for our dog, and not too difficult to put on him. We were going on vacation, and I didn't want his nails to scratch the hardwood floors of the vacation rental. These worked great for that. All but 1 stayed on to entire trip, and the one that came off was easy to reapply. They have held up well to all his activity, and he adjusted to them easily. Definitely a win in my book.

Buyer beware
Please don’t waste your money. I have an older dog who’s 13 years, a Yorkie and was having trouble gripping on the new floors inside my house. He does not have a problem walking outside on the pavement, but the inside he cannot manage anymore. So I bought these and when he was being groomed, my groomer put them all on glue them on no sooner than a few days did they start falling off within a week they were all off. What a waste of money and false advertising. How do I get my money back as they were not cheap?
