National Geographic Gemstone Dig Kit with 10 Real Gemstones for Kids

I bought the National Geographic Gemstone Dig Kit as a gift for my nieces, and they absolutely loved it! It kept them entertained while also teaching them about gemstones, which was a huge bonus. They were so excited digging and discovering each gem, it really felt like a real treasure hunt for them. The kit was easy to use, not too messy, and very engaging. It’s a great mix of fun and learning, and perfect for curious kids who love hands on activities. This made an excellent gift and I would definitely buy it again for birthdays or holidays. Highly recommend!

I had lots of photos and videos because that's what I like to see in reviews. This box of geodes had no missing parts I used it with my 7-year-old and she absolutely loved it It was completely age appropriate. The directions were very educational I was able to have her read them with a little bit of help. And the material that the geodes came in the little crystals was easy for her to scratch off It did however make a little bit of a mess so we did it outside and eventually I was able to figure out if I kept it in the box it came in all of that mess kind of stayed in the box and was easy to clean up. The rocks are very durable so I was able to let her use a hammer to make it a little bit easier but you don't need a hammer! Everything that comes in the box is really all you need. That is what I like the most about this is that you don't have to buy anything extra. And then anything that's left on the rocks is easy to wash off! And they had exactly the amount of crystals that they said they would have in there 10 different kinds and I was able to teach her about all of them! Now I'll be able to have her start meditating with her little crystals go us!!!!! Definitely worth the money if you are trying to find a science project for the summer I would suggest this one over some of the others! Good luck and have fun!!!

I am an adult and bought this for myself lbvs. It was fun to do and I like rocks so win win. It came with all the tools needed and the gemstones were good quality

Excellent educational gift

My son LOVES rocks and had so much fun digging up and finding the rocks. I do have to say that I was a little disappointed by the rocks though because they were definitely not as in the picture on the box. Some of them were very small and some didn’t even really look like one of the samples. But my son still had fun, so I’d rate it 4 stars

Boys love the digging for rocks and discovering gems. Definitely need glasses while working with digging for them.

I like the kit comes with information on the rocks. I laminated it and my 2 year old likes to match his rocks to the picture. Some of the rocks are very small but not to be unexpected.

This is a nice little dig. Unfortunately the “gems” were duplicated and didn’t meet all the gems on the instruction sheet.

Bought as Christmas gift and just opened today, only contains 9 instead of 10 as advertised on the box. Spoilt the Christmas mood
