Q: what weight will the chair carry - how heavy person can use it?

There is no weight restriction on the chair and in 12 years of selling we have not had an issue with weight restrictions.

Q: Can anyone comment on whether the armrests are too high to comfortably rest your elbows on? The armrests look quite high compared to other armchairs.

Hi - I didn't find the armrests too high and I had space to put a cushio to support the baby when breastfeeding. The armrests lift (sunbed style) to recline the chair, so their relative height varies a little depending on how reclined you are. I think for the price, this is a great product.

Q: Can these covers (in grey) be washed in the machine and at what temperature? 30 degrees C? 40 degrees C?

Yes the covers can be washed at 40 degrees, but air dry them not tumble dry.
