Tmobile LG G2X P999 Touch Screen Digitizer Lens Replacement Part

After 10 years and many cellphones I had the unfortunate experience of dropping my g2x and cracking the screen. Of course I was too cheap to purchase the insurance (which for me would've normally been a waste) so getting a replacement screen was the next option. I did my research and found that all the store that could fix my screen had horrible reviews and of course t-mobile no longer carries the g2x. I found a video online of how to take apart your g2x and decided as long as I was very careful I could do the repair myself. The new digitizer came on time, exactly as described. The only difference between this screen is that the front only says LG and the original digitzer says t-mobile. The original phone and housing WILL BE GLUED together and take a little patience to remove. Other than that taking the phone apart is fairly easy with the right tools as long as you keep track of the screws and are gentle. You should have some sort of adhesive to re-glue the phone back together, I'm not sure which kind because I didn't use any but with a little research I'm pretty sure you can find one that works well. The digitizer installed easy and worked OK for the first week, however with no adhesive the re-glue the housing, lcd screen, and digitizer the digitizer was loose. After about a week my screen lost all sensitivity and I am not sure if this had to do with the digitizer, motherboard, or lcd screen but the phone became useless. At 40 bucks this isn't a bad investment if you are tech savvy and have ALL the tools & adhesive necessary.In the end I ended up buying another g2x with a original non-cracked screen & non-working sim card reader from ebay, did some swapping of components, and sent the phone without physical damage to t-mobile for a refurbished g2x which works fine.In summary with the right tools, ADHESIVE & a little patience you should be able to replace your g2x screen. In my case the digitizer lost sensitivity. I'd recommend this product for those who are good with taking apart and reparing electronics. It is potentially a easy way to flip phones for a profit.

Came on time. With watching the video it was easy to replace. I would have given this 5 stars if it had an adhesive to reseal the screen and guitar picks which seamed to make it easier in the videos. I went out and got some Scotch double sided "permanent" tape, has been working so far. My husband and I both have g2x's with no insurance and when he dropped his phone in our garage and the screen shattered, we started looking for solutions. We don't have money to pay for new phones out of pocket and are trying to get out of our tmobile contract, so getting a new phone with a discount was not an option. I looked up repairing the screen on google and it showed lots of people with tutorials on youtube. Although the pros took about 35 minutes, I am not seasoned with taking apart phones and it took me about 1.5 hours from start to finish. It works like new and you'd never know anything happened. Also arrived quite quickly.

Well my screen cracked on my lg g2x a couple weeks ago and i needed a replacement part. i read the reviews and i thought it would have come with a screwdriver set i needed so i placed the order... i waited a week for this to arrive only to find out that it didnt come with the screwdriver set!!!! but overall it came in great no cracks no damage to the box!

Perfect replacement! I got it within 3 days of ordering it as well. My girlfriend was so ecstatic when I replaced it for her and saved her a almost 100 bucks by not going to a store to replace it! It shipped in a great protective box as well! It even came with all the tools you need to replace the screen. Just Youtube a video of replacing the screen and you will have it replaced in no time! i was a little iffy about buying this screen but once i got it i was very happy. Still says t-mobile on the screen which is a plus, fits perfect, shipped very fast to me, easy to put in. They should of provided some instructions but with a little help from youtube i was fine.. why buy a new phone just bc the screen breaks. great price and saved me the money from buying a new phone ^_^

The new screen worked great. But the installation was a pain. After i thought i was all complete i found out i damaged thwarting digitized... Word of advice, leave the installation to the professionals

The part ordered was the correct part. It will work fine once I find the tape that comes with the replacement part. I cant find any neg to write. It is a order that just works. It showed up on time with the correct part. Cool no.

Got a second digitizer - it was defective. Which is too bad, because the first one was working well....
