Stansport High Volume Electrical Air Pump (439),Black

I purchased this pump after the Kwik Tek Airhead Air Pump I purchased from Amazon died within two-weeks of purchase/use.I have owned this pump for almost two months and it is still going strong. I purchased this pump for the sole purpose of inflating swimming pool inflatable toys (beach balls, inner-tubes, inflatable whale, etc) for my children and their friends. We live in a suburb of Phoenix, AZ, so the kiddos swim once or twice per day during the summer. I use this air pump approximately every-other day to inflate 1-2 new toys or add air to existing toys that have lost some air or are somewhat deflated. After use, I always unplug it, and take it back inside and put it away. This little pump is a workhorse. It has held up very well, and inflates all the kids' toys quickly. I'd also like to add that the electrical cord is nice and long.As others have stated, this air pump is LOUD! The Kwik Tek pump was as loud as a cheap vacuum cleaner. This pump is even louder than that! I now wear ear plugs when I use it, and I tell the children to stay away so the noise doesn't damage their hearing. Another complaint is that there is no hose (like those found on other air pumps) that allows you to extend to the item you are inflating and add your attachments, etc. This is too bad, because a hose may have afforded us a little distance from the loud motor. The attachments connect directly to the spout on the air pump machine, and then you have to hold the entire air pump mechanism in your hands to inflate your item. For me, this is a minor inconvenience, as the air pump is not incredibly large; I only hold it in my hands for appx 45-90 seconds to inflate small to medium sized inflatable toys; and I turn it off between inflating kids' toys. Despite that, I am holding one VERY LOUD air pump close to my ears during that time.In summary, this is definitely a good value for the price. My advice, spend an extra $3-$4 on ear plugs to save your hearing. Happy inflating!

This pump is great. We use it to blow up the kids inflatable pool. In a minute or two, both layers of the pool are full of air. This pump has only one downside...it's VERY noisy. It emits a high pitch noise that bothers our ears a bit. I'd almost recommend using it with earplugs to block the high pitched squeal. It pumps air like nobody's business though.

Make sure you are wearign ear protection when using this to pump up a swimming pool or any other piece of equipment that requires you to hand hold the pump. It is VERY loud. I had a difficult time getting it to fill the inflatable pool. Not sure if it was just the "pinch valve" or not, but it did eventually fill it and it was much easier than using my lungs. However, it was so freaking loud that it made the process painful.

Works great. It takes a few moments to fill up a single. Maybe a min or two.This is very loud. My 5 year old didn't expect it and it hurt his ears. I would recommend this product. It is small and weighs very little . I packed it in a suite case to take on the airplane.

Works just as it was intended for, inflates and deflates things fine. Only problem is like the other reviews read, its really, really loud. It wouldn't be as bad if there wasn't such a whiny high pitch sound also which really makes you want to shut the pump off as soon as possible.

Great pump for the price..however it makes so much noise..it hurts your ears...it also takes a very long time to inflate big items like my son's kiddie pool. If you are looking to inflate big items this isn't the best pump.it's good for small items

We just got a new pool so we have a lot of new "toys" to go with it. This has helped me so much in blowing up (so far!): three pool rings, two pool floats, a kiddie pool, a pool basketball hoop, and a pool volleyball net. WHEW! Yes, it is pretty loud but it works fast so you don't have to keep it on very long. It is so much easier than doing it all by mouth.

Very loud to be so small..It does what it does..By that I mean you will need time if you are wanting a big item..same with deinflating..it will suck it dry, but once again you need time..did I say it was loud??

I purchased this Air Pump to replace one that originally came with my air mattress. Visually, the pumps look identical. However this pump is about twice as loud as my original pump and the sound is a higher pitch... almost ear piercing loud. Not sure if I just happened to get a louder unit, or if the specs of this manufacturing is supposed to be that way. Aside from the louder noise, it performs well and pumps my air mattress as it should.

I liked it, but its so noisey

Very useful, small and compact.
