Yes it's awesome

This wine opener is nothing but junk. I'm not even going waste my time and money sending it back. I have been opening wine bottles for many years and this wine opener is made so poorly it is pitiful to even call it a wine opener. The cork screw goes into the cork on a angle and half way down in the cork, the screw is dragging on the glass side of the neck. If you continue to drive in deeper the cork just breaks in half and your have to go to "plan B". Which is go to a hand held cork screw and attempt to use it without driving the remaining cork deeper into the bottle. Then you have to strain or gently try to pour the wine without making a mess. I have to get a better opener, right???

I was skeptical about purchasing this product based on the reviews I read, but the product looked similar to one I had used at my son's home while babysitting so I bought it hoping it would be close in quality. This product exceeded my expectations. It has metal components (not plastic),a great suction cup on the bottom, a soft rubbery coating over all, and best of all it works like a dream. I would highly recommend it.

I gave this as a gift, and was disappointed to discover that it failed to work after only 2 weeks' usage. It has been used a total of four times, and it is a complete waste of money. The suction cup will not properly adhere to the counter-top. The lynchpin came completely undone from the rest of the mechanism. It was purchased to replace a similar wine bottle opener that had lasted for YEARS. This one didn't even last a month. I would NEVER recommend this product. Total failure of function.
