This 5-meter UGREEN cable is absolutely brilliant. The flat design is a game-changer—it slides perfectly under rugs and along skirting boards without causing any lumps or tripping hazards. It delivers a rock-solid, full gigabit speed connection for my setup with zero dropouts.

I bought this UGREEN Cat 6 cable to replace an older Cat 8 cable that I’d honestly overbought for simple home gigabit internet use. While fitting new carpet, the old cable got badly scuffed, so I decided to switch to something slimmer and easier to manage. I went with UGREEN because I’ve had good experiences with their chargers and accessories before, and once again the build quality impressed me. The first thing I noticed was just how thin and flexible this cable is compared to most Ethernet cables I’ve owned. At first, I was worried that would make it fragile, especially since I was routing it under carpet edges, through doorways, and close to carpet grippers/spikes. Surprisingly, the flexibility actually helped protect it. At one point I accidentally pushed a metal doorway strip directly onto the cable and expected at least a visible mark, but there wasn’t even a scratch. The flat design makes this ideal for hiding. Once installed under the carpet, it’s practically invisible and you genuinely can’t feel it underfoot either, which was exactly what I wanted. If you’re particular about cable management or hate visible wires like I do, this is excellent. Performance-wise, it handled full gigabit speeds without issue. Using a direct wired connection, I was consistently getting over 900 Mbps download and full upload speeds during testing. In my normal setup using a mesh extender upstairs, I still see around 600–800 Mbps download speeds consistently. Stability has also been solid with no connection drops so far. The only small downside is that the cable loves twisting back on itself while installing. Because it’s so lightweight and flexible, I had to constantly straighten it while routing it under carpets. Once installed though, that annoyance disappears completely. For the price, I think it’s very reasonable. I paid around £16 for the 20m version, although I’ve since seen it discounted to around £13, which works out to surprisingly good value considering the quality and flexibility you get. Overall, this is a great choice for anyone needing a long Ethernet cable for a PC, console, TV, mesh system, or general home networking setup especially if you need something discreet and easy to hide.

Overall this cable seems of high quality and serves its purpose for me well. I don't have any cable testing equipment, but it seems good enough for most use cases. It blends in well with white skirting boards, and can be easily hidden or coiled up if it's too long. Ugreen is a brand which I generally have good experiences with, so I feel much more confident with their products than a generic alternative.

Pros: Blazing Fast Speeds: I'm consistently getting my full internet speed with zero drops in connection. It handled 4K video streaming and large file transfers with ease. Durable Build: The cable is slick and well-made, yet very flexible enough to route around furniture and along walls. This slick white design made me feel really confident in this product. Plug-and-Play: No setup hassles. Just plugged it in between my modem and PC, and it worked immediately. Thin Design: The design is thin but enough to protect the wires inside, which is a big plus when threading it through tight spaces—no more broken tabs! Cons: None so far. It’s doing exactly what I need it to do. If you're looking for a reliable Ethernet cable for gaming, streaming, or just rock-solid internet performance, this one is an excellent choice. There's lots of negative chatter about flat cables and I bought these flat cables strictly on the basis of them being from UGreen, a brand that I have grown to trust over the years. At 5M length there's ample opportunity for any issues to raise their head. But true to UGreen quaity these worked perfectly at full 1Gbps speeds wherever I tried it. Between ONT and Eero Router. Between Eero Router and devices, and across Gibabit switches to devices, there was full compatibility each time, flawlessly. These cables are very thin and flexible, and won the day where I was using one cable with a Powerline adapter that only just cleared the floor, the flat cable worked a treat, a great fit. Looking at these cables I would see them as durable as any conventional round twisted pair Cat 6 cable. I think one has to be sensible about such things, if you're running the cable underneath carpeting then avoid doorways if possible, or at least place as close to the threshold as possible to limit the amount of being stepped upon by feet.

The cables cover is high quality and the flat nature makes it easy to fit under carpets and doors. It was ideal for running throughout it my house to hard wire multiple WiFi hubs. I found it fairly easy to bend around corners and down stairs underneath carpet. It handles close to 90° curves well though its best to avoid a sharp 90° corner as it may damage the cable. I would say due to it being flat it can requires a bit more thought when going from horizontal to vertical as the cable will need to twist over a longer section than if it were bending directly up and down on the flat edge of the cable. I can report that I'm getting close to full speeds from my quoted internet package without any drop in signal so far. Easy to use, high quality and provided good connection. No complaints.

FINALLY! Stable Virgin Media signal! The wifi here (city) is rubbish, it can't even reach through a door!... and this is their best! tut time for a new provider but while I'm comparing, this has given me a full day of tv with no stupid buffering. or connection issues. It was so easy to set up too, one in the back of the 360 box one in the back of hub so it's definitely compatible with Virgin Media 360 box, it'll always come in handy in future too for a stable, solid, ethernet connection. I will definitely go for this brand again. Cheers!

I bought this flat Cat6 cable to improve my home network setup, and it works perfectly. The flat design makes it easy to run along walls, under carpets, or behind furniture without creating bulky bumps. The cable feels sturdy and well-made, and the connectors fit securely with no looseness. Performance has been excellent — I haven’t noticed any drop in speed or connectivity, even over longer distances. It’s long enough to give me flexibility in positioning my devices exactly where I want them. Overall, a reliable, high-quality cable that offers great value for money.

Using it to extend my JioFiber connection through a dedicated access point and the access point is giving full 300 Mbps speed according to my plan. The cable looks beautiful, is very thin and easily manageable, but feels a bit fragile.

Round ethernet cables are difficult to route cleanly. The flat design makes it easy to tuck along baseboard or under carpets. I ran it under a carpet edge and along a baseboard with no noticeable bump. CAT 6 delivers expected gigabit speeds. 32 feet is a practical length for spanning a room. The connectors feel well-terminated and the RJ45 clips are sturdy rather than the flimsy tabs that snap off on cheap cables. Getting good speed on 1Gbps down connection. Would recommend different cable if your bandwidth exceeds 1Gbps.
