This device is 100% better than my old thermostat.It has great features. Setting up, or editing a schedule was tedious and frustrating with tho old device, and there were only four set points available; sleep, wake, leave and return. I always wanted at least one more time slot. Well, now I have as many as I want.Installation was really easy due to the very detailed instructions, which also provided help with any problems that you might encounter.You can set options directly on the thermostat or through the app. Every option is available either way.The only issue I had was setting up Wi-Fi. I kept losing the connection. I would stumble through the installation, perhaps get connected, only to have it fail, or just have the sequence say "unable to connect: after spinning it's wheels for minutes at a time.IMPORTANT NOTE:I discovered two things that weren't made clear:First, there is a pin number for the setup. You can access it where the QR code display pops up. If you scan the code, it takes you to a web page that I didn't find particularly helpful. But you can bypass scanning the QR code and access the pin directly for a more direct path to the setup. If I remember correctly, below the QR code, the pop-up says something like 'scan the code or use the pin.' If you want a thorough explanation, click "Use the pin." Good for an initial setup, but mostly unnecessary for repeated attempts.Second, the pin CHANGES, apparently on each failed attempt. At first, I copied the pin and re-used it, thinking it was static. It took several failures before I noticed my copied pin was different from the pin presented with each failure. So some of my frustration was from this little mistake in my original assumption. I'm not sure if the pin changed once I got the Wi-Fi established. It's been stable now for at least 24 hours.I really love this device! I wish Amazon carried the remote sensors for this thermostat.Addendum:Shortly after I wrote this review, I found the Sensi remote room sensors available for less than $40 each, so I bought two for about $80 + tax, Free delivery slated for about 7 days, but they arrived early; in just two days. I was very pleased. The uneven cooling of remote rooms has much improved.I didn't think I'd use the app much, but it's very handy for quick changes when I'm working at my desk or reading, watching TV or in bed. I actually use it a lot. It's been about a month and the Bluetooth connection has been steady and very reliable.It was a great improvement and an excellent investment.

Super easy install using the app as a setup guide. I have two stage heating and cooling, which means several colored wires to place correctly on the mounting plate. The Sensi app is intuitive and designed for do-it-yourself installation folks. I had the old unit dismounted and the wires marked with the included tags in about 20 minutes. The new mounting plate with the previously tagged wires attached, mounted to the wall using the same holes as before. The wires attach to the mounting plate via push-in tabs, so no tiny screwdriver is needed. There are included drywall anchors and screws if new drywall holes are required. This step took another 25-30 minutes. The thermostat will step you thru the wifi setup via the app once power is restored to the unit. I had no issues with this process. The thermostat will download and install any firmware updates and reboot. Finish the setup for scheduling and various System tweaks via the Sensi app. It’s a simple process to make adjustments for temp amd humidity offsets if you wish to calibrate the these items to attain a better representation of your home’s conditions. This thermostat does an excellent job of maintaining a temp set point with the ability to fine tune how often it “cycles” (fast, medium, slow) via a system setting in the app. Faster cycling means more precise set point temps. I have mine set at medium, and it keeps the temperature within +/- half degree of set. Haven’t used it yet for heating, but I anticipate similar results as cooling. Total takedown and install time was roughly one hour. Bottom line, easy install and setup with great customization and performance! What’s more to ask…?

I like the display a lot! It is easy to read and easy to change manually - something not every thermostat does. It connects to the Internet without issues and the App is OK. It was easy to setup a cooling schedule. Time will tell - but this seems to be a winner!

I really like the look and easy use of this product and it works for the most part. The A/C part has stopped working twice, once was because a wire came loose (our fault so not a big deal) and today I get an email that the temperature in our apartment was 5 degrees higher than what the A/C was set at and that the A/C wasn’t working. It was blowing lukewarm air and it’s summer so my place is now 80 degrees. We tried factory reset, turning the breaker on and off, followed troubleshoot and it’s still not blowing cold air. I’m going to delete it on the app and try set it up again and see if that works. Works really great when it’s working and I love that I can lock the screens so my kids can’t mess with the settings since they don’t pay my electric bill lol

Very easy to install by following simple instructions. My old thermostat had slightly different wire connection labels and the Sensi setup app made it crystal clear what wire went where. Local company wanted $200 to install, but honestly most anyone can do it if you have the right existing wires. WiFi setup was a breeze as well, and firmware immediately updated automatically.As for the unit itself, it does everything I wanted and more. So easy to set up a schedule and to control from your phone as needed. It looks nice and sleek, dimmed appropriately when it should be, with a nice clear (and BIG/readable) display.
