Great supplement to other bibles!
Very short stories with nice illustration. One page so easy to read to a toddler, though some graphic pictures. Might be best for a child who is old enough to read on their own but needs a smaller amount to read than the regular Bible.

An EXCELLENT Bible for young children!
Phew! Finding the right Bible for your kids is an exhausting task. I spent more than 2 hours reading reviews and descriptions before deciding on this one for our 4-year old. I am soooo happy I did. We have and love the Children's Beginner Bible (it's perfect for ages 1 - 6), but our 4-year old son was asking very perceptive questions and needed a Bible geared towards older children. He understands the stories in this one, all of which stand true to God's Word instead of being changed to our time, and the pictures are beautiful (though the Adventure Story Bible had incredibly gorgeous pictures that seemed more interesting and appropriate for young children...we returned that one because of MAJOR Biblical truths they distorted/omitted). We read this every night and it makes for a perfect time with my boys (ages 2 and now 5), my favorite part of each day. They are EXCITED to read it each night, even after owning it for a year.

best we have found
we read a Bible story to our 3 year old every night before bed and four kids Bibles later we finally found one we liked. the pictures are beautiful, the story is accurate(as far as we have read) while still being easy for our kid to understand. and it includes alot of the often overlooked stories. we love it. some of the pictures are graphic( i think in a tasteful way) but hey it is true to God's Word. Eve was naked, Cain did kill Abel in a rage, and LOTS of people died in the flood. Why hide the truth from our kids? When our son asked us about the scary bronze snake, we tell him the truth, that it represented sin and it was a picture of Christ's death on the cross for us. thats his favorite story now.

get this Bible! !
Best Bible we've purchased so far. My son is 7 and we read two pages each night rotating between each chapter. Easy read for kids and bibically accurate. . Which accuracy is the most important! The next step up bible I would Highly recommend is "The Candle Classic Bible" this bible is for 7-12 year olds and is much more in depth but still understandable for children.Update. I'm now reading this bible with my 5 year old son and he can't wait to read this every night. I read 3 stories a night and recap the night before stories so I can make sure he understands what we read. Also each story has a few questions for the kids to discuss after

Love this Bible!
I brought this Children's Story-time Bible to go with Heart of Dakota's Little Hearts to Heaven even though I already owned several Children's Bible Storybooks. I originally brought it out of the convince of having the Teacher's Guide match up with the scheduled stories- so I didn't have to search through all the ones we already owned. I am really glad I did! This Bible has many stories that are not in normal Bible storybooks. And it tells the stories without hiding or omitting many things but still at a child's level. (such as David cutting off Goliath's head!= My 6 year old's favorite part of the story!).The pictures are awesome! I also love the questions at the end of each story!

Great for boys
We keep our 4 year old son and 3 year old daughter with us during church service. They bring their children's Bibles and look at pictures of they get bored. This particular Bible is a favorite with our son. The realistic pictures really grab his attention and prompt discussion later. Little boys are often drawn to swords and play-fighting, so why not read them true stories of fighting for the Lord?We do utilize several different Bibles with the kids. I prefer more detail in the stories when we are teaching them during Bible time, but this one is great for the kids to look through on their own, or to discuss at random.

As a pastor/teacher I find this reference bible of inestiminable value for selecting from among the 100 greatest stories. The book also dirests us to the praises and promises of the Word. Then there are the 40 Doctrines giving a brief comment on what the Bible says about these teachings. There are several other helps that are valuable in family time sharing. This is a good book to keep in the 'reference' section of your bookshelf for easy access when the family comes together for spending time in the 'good book'.
