These are so easy to use. The disk has a place the old wax guard and the next is the new wax guard. They only turn one way so there is never the possibility to use a dirty wax guard

Very easy to clog. Poor design
My mother has a set of phonak hearing aids And she does produce a lot of ear wax. With that said however the design of the hearing aid and of this wax blocker is very poor. The whole where sound Enters the hearing aid is only about 3 mm wide in diameter. These wax guards fit inside of there and they act like a drain cover with tiny little holes that block any foreign material from getting down into the hearing aid. It doesn't take very much of anything to block these holes up and make the hearing aid ineffective. I'm changing them out several times a week because they are impossible to brush out or clean in any way. Poor engineering is all I have to say. There has to be a better way
