how thick is this paper?

It is 48 lbs. as compared to my HP Ultra White which is 20 lbs. It depends on what you are using the paper for. I make my own greeting cards and I use Hallmark paper which is 85 lb. card stock. It depends what you want to do with the paper. For everyday use I use the HP paper or what ever is on sale. Hope this helps.

What is this paper coated with?

There’s no coating on this paper. It’s just heavy paper stock. This is not photo paper.

Would this paper work to be printed double sided for thank you cards?

I have never printed this paper double sided. I do print on the back side of this paper but not automatically. After I print the first side, I take it and run it back through for the second side.

Great Quality Paper!

I'm enjoying the Epson S041568 Premium Presentation Paper Matte Double Sided, Letter Size, 50 sheets. It's working well with my Epson ET-3830 (Eco-Tank) printer, Perfectly! I do a lot of printing and haven't had any issues. I would recommend to everyone!
