We've had these 20oz boxes for almost a year now. We have 5 or 6, if you count one that arrived missing a tab that is only used in the fridge. None of our tabs have broken yet, but I notice we don't use this one as often, vs other brands, partly because it's so shallow. We don't put any plastic lids in the microwave, we use a cloth packed napkin or something else. Reduces stress on the plastics. My plan was to never put any of our meal prep gasketed lids in the dishwasher. It helps for hand washing, to not have things smushed up against the edges of lids. The hand wash goal is also why I wasn't willing to fuss with the unnecessary center gasket issues of the larger box. These 20oz boxes look way less frustrating to get the gasket back in all the way and seated properly. Ours have only come out occasionally. Although at times they needed to come out for cleaning, due to something getting on the edges when the lid goes back on after eating. These containers do work ok in the microwave. Caveat is that it takes longer than glass to heat up the food. With the instructions saying there is a 3 mins limit (with no details) that also makes some of us slightly reluctant to use these. Is it 3 mins max and stir? Or 3 mins total time? Many dense things were taking around 4 mins, 2 mins heat, stir or flip around, 2 more mins. (Same item quantity takes around 3 mins in glass, with the same stir/flip after 1.5 mins.) Other brands, that are larger, are great for putting a portion in each while the food is still hot. Which I won't do with modern glass meal prep containers. One slightly expensive other stainless container say 5 min heating limit, checking around 2-3 mins. Is the stainless steel or manufacturing different? Or is this just limited instructions. Hard to know, but having that 3 min max instructions is clearly an issue for at least half the family. We use another brand that says nothing about anything, and comes in big inexpensive batches. With bases that look identical, including all angles of the rims, to the branded 5 min version. That one also performs fine in the microwave. The flimsy center vent pop up thing lids never go in the microwave or the dishwasher, and are still giving a shockingly leakproof seal. (With careful packing so the lid under edges aren't banged into.) The advantages of not dealing with glass so far are not outweighing this particular brands under warmed issues if we follow instructions, or worrying what we were doing if we heated to eating temperature in defiance of instructions. They get four stars for being the first to introduce me to the concept of stainless in the microwave, and made me look up why it works. I also personally really like the lids on the 20oz ones. I get the feeling this brand is over pricing their small sandwich style bases, with admittedly better quality lids, because people have been conditioned to believe it takes some kind of wizardry to make stainless steel safe for the microwave. Unfortunately people will expect much more lid durability than this brand seems to deliver from a $20 small sandwich size container, or that center gasket nonsense of the sectional vs a $5 larger more versatile meal prep shape version.

I purchased this item a year ago and used it for school lunches and it did not hold up very well. The foods would leak out from the edges of each food compartment and mix juices together. The material is very thin and rusts easily. The rust and food stains don’t scrub off well and it keeps an odor. It was not worth the price. Poor quality item.

Muy bueno para el lonche de mi adolescente. Ya tenia uno desde hace 3 an̈os y ahora estoy reemplazando. Durable, cierra muy bien y aunque mi hijo a veces avienta la lonchera no pierde la forma.

It is just China quality. I really want to throw away. The divider is not able to separate the liquid. It is just cheap quality yet thr price is too expensive. Never buy!

Good size, not too heavy. And has lasted several weeks of school runs with my teenage son. Cleans well. Has a good seal. While probably purchase another when other lunch boxes fall apart.

The container itself is fine but the lids are terrible. The clips started breaking almost immediately, and within a couple of months I only had one usable lid.
