Have the weld problems been corrected?

I was not aware of any welding problems. Very pleased with the chair.

What are the measurements for the seat?

16 inches front to back 17 inches left to right (at the widest spot)

Can it hold a 300lb person?

I'm 270 and it holds me fine, but I do not have the legs raised. If you don't need the legs raised I feel you would be fine at 300lbs. But if you need the height raised I wouldn't recommend it. It is a fantastic chair by the way.

HOW do you adjust the legs to raise the height of the seat?

A push button on each leg allows you to adjust.
