Adjustable Silk Satin Bonnet for Sleeping Hair Wrap, Double Layer Sleep Cap, Night Turban for Large Long Curly Braid Women Men Hair - Matcha Green

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this silk “bonnet.” A year ago, a friend gifted me a satin bonnet, which I loved, but it was a bit large for my head and would slide around and fall into my eyes at night, so I’d have to secure it with hair clips each night. I bought a more traditional bonnet that had long tails that allowed me to wrap around my head and tie in place for a more snug fit. However, the headband was so wide it would mash down my hairline which would be such a mess the next morning, and, again, it would fall down into my eyes as I slept. A woman I follow on instagram was promoting a turban-style bonnet she wears to bed, but the one she was promoting was well over $100. However, I liked how snug it seemed to fit on her and there didn’t seem to be any potential of it falling down into her eyes as she slept. That’s how I came across this item. I love how I can adjust the tightness to keep it snug around my head without it feeling uncomfortable, and the turban twist sits perfectly at my hairline, so no mashing down that I have to fix in the morning. It doesn’t fall down into my eyes and perfectly holds my long hair. I was also impressed by the quality of satin material. It doesn’t feel cheap. Additionally, I did run it through the wash on gentle before realizing it was a “hand wash” item, and it held up just fine. I also tossed it in the dryer before realizing it said not to dry it, and it still held up well. Not to say it will always hold up like that if I keep doing it, but I like how I didn’t just completely destroy it by making that mistake. Bought the light green not realizing there were a plethora of other colors, so bought a black as well to use while the other one is getting washed. A full circle moment as I ended up recommending this turban to my friend who had gifted me my very first bonnet last year and they love this as well!**EDIT** I'm actually shocked to only see one other review about this, but the black color will bleed onto your pillow/pillowcase if you use any kind of moisturizing products that contain oil. Kept waking up to black streaks all over my white pillow cases and couldn't figure out how or why since I don't sleep with my hair wet in the bonnet. When I woke up with what looked like a big black bruise on my forehead where the knot of the turban rests, it dawned on me that the dye from the turban was bleeding. I think the culprit is the mineral oil in my night cream. I do not have this issue with the light green turban from this brand or any other dark-colored turbans I have from other brands. Just be aware of that and maybe purchase the lighter colors if you want to stick with your oils.

These are the best Ive purchased on Amazon. Fits my small head when I tighten the loop. These are soft and the material feels good. Not too thick or thin. I finally found my favorite

(My head might also be big, but) I have thick, curly... currently shoulder length hair. When I wear it straight I can get it all in the cap and it works great! I love the silky material, the snug fit and the adjustable back... very comfortable. When my hair is curly I can get it in the cap, but just barely. I think as my hair grows, I may only be able to use it with straight hair. I need a slightly bigger size.

Update: I had to take off a few stars because even with the adjustable strap and pinning the sides to my head, the cap slips off in the night, which practically makes it unusable. Super disappointed. I was really enjoying it for a while there.I admit I was skeptical when I saw the product pictures, because it looked really small and I've had trouble with this style of nightcap fitting around my head, but it said it was for long hair, and I was very pleasantly surprised!The cap fits around my head with room to spare, so the adjustment band in the back is nice. It's also not uncomfortable after I tightened it. There's plenty of room inside the cap to not only fit all my hair, but also fits one of those big pillow satin scrunchies too! I know the standard satin bonnet with the ties are plenty big enough for long hair and scrunchies, but I have thick bangs that go straight across my forehead and using a standard bonnet always messes them up come morning. This style of nightcap is perfect because I can keep my bangs out, but the rest of my hair up and protected. No longer do I need to decide between my bangs and keeping my hair safe.It's also super cute! If I just want my hair up and out of the way without dealing with a scrunchy, I can throw this on and it doesn't look like I just rolled out of bed. I still look well put together and I can wear my glasses without them sitting weird or being pushed into my ears.I can't speak on whether or not it stays on all night without slipping off, because I always pin my cap in place with a few bobby pins, but I have a feeling that if you move around a lot in your sleep, it'll probably slip off. But again, just a bobby pin on either side and that problem is taken care of.Highly recommend this night cap. I'm definitely going to be picking up a few more in different colors.

It is so soft and stays on my head. My hair is so much smoother next day compared to not using this.

I love this night scarf! It is soft, durable and worth the money. The silk material is perfect for nights that are warm without waking to a sweaty scarf. The adjustable knob conforms to how tight or loose that you need it to be. Very good scarf!

I have shoulder-length hair and thought traditional bonnets were too big and designed for longer fuller hair. So I thought this was a good alternative. I was concern about fit since I have a oval-shape narrow head....so far after 3 nights, it does shift around alittle, but is staying on. I'm not use to sleeping with a bonnet, so it is alittle annoying. Hopefully, I'll get use to it. My one issue, is there isn't enough space for your hair. I can barely tuck all my hair underneath the bonnet and it crushed my wavy-curls that I was trying to preserve for the following morning. If I loosen the strap to try and make more room for my hair, the bonnet than comes off easily during sleep. For me, I'm not totally satisfied, but I'm still experimenting with it.Pros: Seems well made. Silk as advertised.Cons: Size and fit can vary. Alittle uncomfortable to sleep in.
