for who is asking it is non detachable .overall, good product if you want bronze plate message. can not really comment about ita effectiveness but quality is good. it is sturdy.

Heat issue
There is heating issue in the middle screw which is iron metal so when machine runs and rub on feet, that screw heats up and sometimes gives burning sensation so can't use continuesly. Not recommended
