Best socks you can buy.
Darn tough socks are by far the best socks you can buy. This style is very heavy and warm. Fit as with all the darn toughs is snug but comfortable. Made for action, not lounging. I would recommend smart wool for lounging. They have a looser softer weave. Darn toughs are for more durable than any other sock on the market. Very high thread count dense weave.

Finest of quality
These socks are great. I really love putting them on my feet. They feel good a wick moisture away.

Excellent Socks
This is my second order of these socks after having previously ordered a first pair over a year ago. They are pricey but worth every penny and will purchase yet more again in the future so I have several working pairs. I use these in my running in the Pacific NW area. This means I often run in the rain and these socks keep my feet warm, provide amazing cushioning, and are very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable
Have had issues with socks in the past wearing through on the bottom and needing to be thrown away early into the lifespan of the sock. These are holding up great and are just warm enough but not to the point of sweaty feet. I like them and will eventually likely buy more.

Almost nailed it!
I am in love with this sock brand, and have about 8 pairs in different weights and lengths. This is my only max-weight pair (I live on the NC/SC border). Great weight. Put a hole in this sock the first time I pulled it on (ankle hole) which was a huge disappointment. They have held up perfectly despite this defect, so I have made no fuss about it. They are super warm. I am climbing Rainier in the late summer and wish this weight was available in boot length rather than just micro crew and OTC. Boot length is the perfect length for a sock of this weight. Do they not use their products in outdoor environments? Huge gap in the offering. Otherwise, awesome socks, and perfect length in micro crew for southern cold nights. But geez. You're in Vermont.

Some socks come along only once in a lifetime
Philosopher Kevin Malone once said that if anybody ever gives you 1000:1 odds in a bet, you should take it. As a fellow man of intellect, I will add this: if anybody ever gives you a lifetime guarantee on a piece of clothing, you should buy it. The funny thing about Darn Tough socks is that, for me, the lifetime guarantee is only my second favorite thing about them. Sure, it's a huge help in explaining to my mom why I bought a pair of socks for $25, and it helps me sleep with the decision as well. But my top reason for buying Darn Tough is simple... They're made out of MERINO WOOL! I don't want to offend the gentle-hearted, so consider this a trigger warning for bawdy wardrobe behavior. Now that the simpletons have stopped reading: I now have two pairs of socks, they're both the socks you're looking at, and I can wear them for two weeks at a time. Odor is nonexistent. Even in my stinky shoes, ten minutes laying on the floor and these things smell fresh-out-of-the-package clean once again. I wear them to work, to the gym, while riding the motorcycle, whatever. They don't smell. It's incredible. I'm generally pretty suspicious of any clothing advertisement that is trying to convince me that they have ADVANCED HIGH-TECH MOISTURE WICKING ODOR ELIMINATING fabric. It seems absurd, as if the audience is supposed to believe that the manufacturer built microscopic robots that eat smell or something. So when I started reading about merino wool, I was suspicious. I bought these socks expecting to return at least one of the pairs, and I left that pair in the package for the first two weeks. But merino is the real deal. This stuff is amazing. Making socks out of it makes perfect sense. I travel with just the socks on my feet now. And, again, these come with a lifetime guarantee, which is totally crazy but backed up by a company that will be there in twenty years, processing your warranty claims with that kindly Vermont humor. So buy these socks. You won't regret it.

You get what you pay for, and these socks are worth every penny
To say I am ecstatic with these socks would be understating my opinion. Joking aside these socks are simply the best and while some may say they are expensive; they are worth the money. Darn Tough is an excellent company that stands behind their product and they are made in the USA. Okay, but what about the socks you may say? Well, they are super comfortable, moisture wicking and resist odor. I am amazed that I can wear these socks multiple times and there is zero odor from my feet. From what I understand it's the marino wool. The heavy weight 70% marino wool makes them great for cold weather. I wear these hiking and bicycling in cold weather with full satisfaction.
