Can you put it onto painted wallpaper or must it be applied to bare walls

Yes it can just make sure any loose paint is removed and pva walls and allow to dry before applying paste.

reviews on the fibreliner

Great stuff, used it on my daughters room as we had issues with damp before, no problems and its been on nearly a year, plus makes the room really warm, I was surprised how much. Hope this helps.

yes it looks good painted but make sure you take care with joins as the paper shrinks so again leave it at least 3 days before you paint it. another tip is stick it to the wall with carpet adhesive much better than anything else I have found and cheaper

Does it dent like polystyrene? or is it polystyrene? thanks for help.

This stuff is made from a felt like material with what may be a durable paper finish on one side. It does not dent like polystyrene. Any deformation (say due to a prolonged loading) does not seem to be permanent and full recovery takes place.
