Salomon Men's Alphacross 5 Gore-TEX Trail Running Shoes

Super comfortable and good waterproofing. Bought these to use for disc golfing and have worn them out so far in wet grass as well as a serious downpour and they are awesome. Probably the best waterproofing I've ever gotten from a pair of shoes. Definitely recommend them.

Very comfortable fit, sort of a compression like feel that holds but doesn't restrict. Absolutely all-weather capable, impressively so. Styling is the adopted standard of all outdoor terrain shoes and boots, odd and unfortunate, but it isn't as extreme and isn't the reason I don't wear them everywhere-the massive heal is. On softer earth it isn't really noticable, but definitely is on floors. They're like high heeled cowboy boots and not good for the knees of anyone. They extend posterior from the heel nearly an inch! What is the purpose of having so much material under and behind the heel? Reduce it by 50% and you'd have the best shoe ever. More color options would only add to that honor. Solomon! Any shoe company! All weather casuals would be revolutionary!!! What gives??

I've been using the Alphacross 5 for years now. They last a reasonable amount of time for my 2.5 mile hybrid walks that are 3-5 times a week. Usually need to replace them after about a year or thereabouts. Good value if you can get them under $100 or on sale. I like the style, form, and fit. I'm a size 9.5 and it fits perfectly. I use after market arch support however. Super Feet for an extra $50 to help my flat foot issues the arise like plantar fasciitis. Great shoe.

The right shoe fit perfectly with plenty of room in toe to box area with great overall comfort. However, the left shoe had harsh pressure points in the soul of foot which made it unbearable wear. This was not a typical shoe wearing experience. So maybe there was a defect in the left shoe?

Second pair a little big for in the hill for a 10 1/my regular size in running shoes… but they’re durable water resistant, and great for the hiking trails at Salem Lake.. highly recommend recommended!!

Honestly could say enough about how great these are. They're very lightweight, super comfy, not too thin so your feet don't get cold, the grip is great and the waterproofing works well. They also look super smart too, very nice minimal black design.

Les Salomon Alphacross 5 sont d’excellentes chaussures pour la randonnée et le trail. Dès les premiers pas, on sent le confort et le bon maintien, même sur des terrains accidentés. La semelle offre une excellente adhérence, parfaite pour les sentiers boueux ou humides. Elles sont aussi légères et bien amorties, ce qui les rend agréables même sur de longues distances. La qualité de fabrication est au rendez-vous, avec des matériaux robustes qui résistent bien à l’usure. Un excellent choix pour ceux qui veulent des chaussures fiables et performantes pour leurs sorties en pleine nature !
