I've put off getting soft close hinges for a while because of the price. But this was a good deal! These work really well and so easy to install. They really cut down on the noise. Will be getting more!

I just put these in all of my kitchen cabinets. They installed very easily, seem sturdy, and are well-built.Of all the home improvements I’ve done over 50 years, this is one of the best cost+effort to benefit ratio I can remember.For the price of a gallon of good paint, I now won’t have to hear “can you slam the doors a little harder?” from my husband. :)Pros:InexpensiveWell builtEasy to install (all holes lined up, good fortune)Work very wellCons: I can’t really think of any.I’ll update with durability news if there are any issues.

I recently replaced all the hinges in my home with more expensive ones from a national hardware store. I was happy with the end result. Not every hinge seemed to close at exactly the same rate but they were close enough and quiet. A while later I decided to do the same for my in-laws. I found these on Amazon at a significantly cheaper price than I paid for the ones in my own home and decided to give them a shot. They seem almost identical. Installed just as easily. But in my opinion close smoother and more uniform than the ones I used in my own home. I was very impressed as these performed better at a less expensive price.

DecoBasics soft close hinges do what they are supposed to at a budget price. They are not quite as nice as Blum hinges. Blum hinges operate very smoothly, and when I've used them in the past I can get away with using 1 hinge on each cabinet door. DecoBasics operates a little more jerkily - if you slam the cabinet shut or push it fully closed, it rebounds and sort of bounces back open before falling slowly shut. I also found that even on smaller cabinet doors, you must install two hinges or it just doesn't catch a closing door as well, and it might still slam a little bit.I got a 50 pack of DecoBasics hinges for about $75, working out to about $1.50 per piece. Having to use two per cabinet door means each door costs about $3 to convert to soft close using DecoBasics parts. Conversely, Blum hinges are about $35 per 10 (depending on overlay), or about $3.50-$5 each, but you can use one hinge on each door unless you have a massive cabinet opening. Your mileage may vary.Other notes: the three way adjustable settings on these is great, and works well for making cabinet doors line up nicely. They come with screws preinstalled in a plastic plug on the door side of the hinge, which might be great if you are doing a fresh install. If you are retrofitting, you have to unscrew the hardware from every single hinge before you can use it, which doubles the time it takes to install.

These work great! Now my cupboards don’t slam. I will say that the inside hinges might require larger screws depending on your cabinets but I have plenty so it wasn’t an issue. Thank you!

I bought a condo with cheap cabinets from 2007 that had non-softclose hinges. After living with softclose cabinets for several years, I decided an upgrade was in order and these were a perfect replacement for the old hinges. I had 22 doors done in a few hours(had exactly enough to also do the bathroom cabinets, too). Waaaaaaaaaaaay better value than the big box stores.

The media could not be loaded. These hinges came with all of the hardware needed to change them out with our old hinges. Very easy to install! They include three levels of adjustment so that the door sits well on the cabinet and closes well! I used these throughout my whole kitchen and love them! So much better than the original hinges that came with the cabinets. Doors closed with ease and no more banging sound!

Very well made and easy to install. A very cost effective upgrade to any csbinet.

Great value. There will be better quality euro hinges on the market perhaps, but these worked great and were easy to install with my Kreg jig. soft close feature works well and I have no complaints. MUCH cheaper than buying in a hardware store or other similar products on line.

Purchased these in 1/2” overlay without understanding how to determine what I needed. They were reasonably priced and very sturdy for the price, but incorrect size. The return would have meant paying shipping charges to Vegas so I didn’t bother. The price for the correct size was exactly the same. Make sure you understand how to determine what you need unlike me.

Seem to be of high quality material. I replaced all hinges in the kitchen with these and they work great. The soft close feature is really nice. I’m glad I made the switch. Nearly a year later each hinge feels as solid and smooth as the first day they were installed.

... and an excellent price. I'm going to upgrade all our kitchen cabinet doors to the slow-close option. No more banging doors.
