No other adapters needed plugs right into my Android phone to connect my external microphone.

If your device has USB C and needs an aux connection, this will do it. But if your device doesn't output audio on USB C, don't expect to use this cause it works only with devices it's designed for. That said it's a nice little cord.

I was planning to use this adapter to hook up an external STEREO microphone to a DJI Action 5 camera. The adapter is well built and was recognized by the camera but only transmitted a MONO signal. Due to that I retuned the adapter.

Okay cable, decent quality Audio only goes from USB-C to 3.5mm, not visa-versa.

There is a lot of confusion about what his does, even the product description gets it wrong, and other reviews confuse the issue. This cord is for taking ANALOG audio on the 3.3mm plug and feeding it INTO the cellphone via USB-C. It is detected in the cellphone settings/camera video input as a "USB-C microphone." In other words this is an audio CAPTURE card. And as that, it works well as verified by my own testing. It does not work with the GoPro Hero 13, since that recognizes only the media mod frame and its own adaptor, but the COMICA cord may work with other cameras' USB-C ports On a PC this is recognized as a "Hi-Res Audio" generic USB input device with a maximum bit rate of 48Khz at 24 bit. it will do the 16 bit 44.1 CD standard. So this is an analog capture adaptor with a short coiled cord which can connect a microphone receiver or other analog device to the UBS-C input of your cellphone or computer. With a high quality mic and its receiver it would give better results than Bluetooth, However do note that this is a monophonic device; despite the TRS plug, it will not support stereo.
