Good hardware but need a third party tool for Mac
I have been using this programmer to program EEPROMS for some vintage computers and test logic chips and it does the job. Downloading the software is a bit sketchy and they only support Windows. If you're a Mac user, you can get the Visual Minipro app from the Apple app store to use this programmer with your Mac.

Works on Windows 11 programming AT28C256 EEPROMS
As some have said the software installation is not obvious but search for โ6xgecu pro t48 software downloadโ and youโll find it. There are multiple download sites. I chose โoverseas serverโ. The download site page is full of distractions, be sure to click the correct button. There was a 17 minute youtube video that resulted from my search and itโs worth watching before downloading although itโs not in english. At least youโll see how to download and use the software. Pretty intuitive interface. I was able to read, erase, and program EEPROMS very quickly. As long as you know your IC is on the supported list this is well worth the money.

Works in my cases
I don't know if this was a resold return or if the seller builds these packages from separate parts but it arrived wrapped in cellophane wrap and the adapters were stuck in Styrofoam instead of antistatic chip foam. For this reason I think the price was too high for not having an appearance of being professionally packaged. However l, I repaired a floppy drive emulator within minutes by reprogramming it's 327P chip, and have been having a good time writing EPROMS and ROMs for various projects. So it works good so far.

For Un-Write protecting EEPROMS
When buying EEPROM CHIPS ( 28CXXX ), Need this to unwritten protect.

No compatible chips
I got this to clone my eeprom in my trucks pcm. Not the eeprom or any chip for that matter is compatible with this programmer. I'm not sure what it's used for, but don't order it if you're looking into doing any flash work on you ecu,pcm.

It even tests Logic Chips
Product is easy enough to use and works like a charm and even tests some types of chips (logic and some RAM chips)
