This is a really good hoover. I don’t know how well it will wear but I am so impressed by its design and its performance so far. It’s replaced a Dyson and quite honestly it knocks it out the park. The main carpet brush is really powerful. I like the light and the pick up is fantastic. Even the way it’s packaged made me think this has been well thought out. The inter-change between stand up and hand held is so well done and so easy to use. It is very manoeuvrable and the vacuum power is fantastic. Great value for money. I can only say that I have been really pleased with it.

I wanted a hoover which is lighter than my present one (Henry) and is also efficient at picking up dog and human hair. Without doubt this has been a superb choice. To start, the vacuum was wrapped in recyclable paper & cardboard - Well done Hoover! It was easy to put together and although the majority of the parts are plastic it is sturdy and feels strong. The suction is outstanding and although it had only been a couple of days since vacuuming; I was astounded at how much dust, hair etc was collected in the bin. The bin was easy to empty and I cannot praise this product enough. Although I've only used it once I would definitely recommend it.

I really like this hoover, we have two dogs and two children, so there is plenty of dirt to vaccine and this has excellent suction for both dust and hair. It is very light compared to my previous vax vacuum. It is also very quiet for a vacuum, i can listen to my music with my open ear earphones and vacuum! It has handy crevice tools, the dust bucket is very big, we live in a large bungalow and the bucket wasn't full after vacuuming most of the house. The only draw back is the hose attachment isn't long enough so the vaccine falls over if you don't keep a hold of it.

This is a fabulous vacuum cleaner. I am a vax/dyson lover and have had our last vc for over 10 years. I’m converted and so is all the family! It picks up superbly and I love the fact that it comes apart from the base for stairs etc. very, very impressed!

Light and easy to carry,manoeuvres well,easy to use,good suction. Only one tool with hoover,would have liked a small brush for stairs but otherwise good value for money,would recommend

Update after 10 months. It died. Customer service from Hotpoint appalling. After pointing out the guarantee & my consumer rights they did send a replacement part but it didn't work. They won't entertain a return, insist Amazon must do it, even though they were the 3rd party retailer. Will not be buying this vacuum, nor any Hoover appliance again. Amazon great customer service by the way. Been using this for about 6 weeks now. It is a dream to use over large areas of carpet, it picks up so much hair/fluff & it's large capacity bin is ideal. Our household has one dog, one cat & I have long hair. Not clogged once. However it is more cumbersome to use on hard floors, smaller areas & around rugs & furniture. Initially I liked the long flex but it's so long I actually end up in a tangle. The wand & hose are far too short. I have to do a lot of bending & stretching when using it. This also means the vacuum frequently tips over in this mode. I am most disappointed in this element of the vacuum. An extra tool would be ideal to help clean small areas, often the main unit is too big & the wand tool is tiny. The sunction power however remains very good in the wand mode. The filters are easy to remove. They dried within a day of cleaning. I wasn't sure how to effectively clean the folded paper filter though. Registration was a faff. The web address on the box & paperwork didn't take me to the right place as the length of warranty didn't seem to match the product. Found the right place after a Google search. For the price I am not unhappy with the vacuum but am surprised it is not a better all rounder considering the Good Houskeeping write up which is why I chose it. It replaced a Dyson v11 Animal which never worked properly against pet hair but have to admit I do miss its maneuverability.

So far so good. It was easy to put together. It is pretty powerful vacuum cleaner. I like the fact that it can be adjusted to make it lighter in weight to use on stairs. It is baileys, so no expensive bags needed, making it more sustainable also.

Suction is insane on this, pulls up SO much more dog hair from carpet and rugs than our previous Vax. It’s really quite light and nimble too. The swerving head and light is really good for moving around and really does show how much a floor needs hoovering. The anti hair wrap works great too! Only down side to not being 5* is the hose you can use actually has a pretty short pipe, so if your using it to hoover a sofa with the pet head, often you’ll end up pulling the hoover over because of how light it is and how short the hose is. Not a massive deal. Other reason is the general build being light comes at the expense of potentially being weaker. The swerving head is good but I’ve a feeling it could break if using aggressively or banging into things. Great hoover though, way better than the Vax options!
