Stanley National S819-401 Stanley 819401 Assortment Heavy Duty Pegboard Hook Kit, 15 Pieces

I installed a 1/4" pegboard in my craft room. I have had one before and really liked it except the hooks kept slipping out of the board when I removed an item. If you carefully read the descriptions you'll find hooks that fit both 1/8" and 1/4" pegboards. That is true but using 1/8" hooks in a 1/4" board results in the above problem. So it's important to purchase the 1/4" hooks. There are locks you can put on 1/8" hooks, but my board is nailed to the wall (it's 30" by 70") so can not be removed. It's very important to read the description. These hooks fit securely, but can be rearranged if desired. They also are very sturdy.

I'm a huge fan of having my shop organized, and these are what make it possible. Overall, they're very study hooks that should last forever once installed. I found in one older sheet of 1/4 in peg board, I had to hammer the bottom peg in on some of these since they're so tight. That's the kind of fit I like in hooks since it means they won't pull out.That being said, I found a few minor quality control issues. First of all, the bottom pegs seem to just be tack welded on. Under normal conditions, I can't imagine this would be an issue, however like I said, I had to hammer a few of these into the holes. Out of this pack, I had one rear peg break off. The only other issue I had was the spacing between the top and bottom pegs. I found some instances where they were more than an 1/8th of an inch too low, or too high.In the end, I have to admit, I ordered another pack of them. Despite the few throw away pegs, it's still a good deal for sturdy pegs. I'd recommend them.

Not worth the price or the wait. I ordered these for use with the Wall Control Galvanized Steel pegboard panels, hoping they would fit and be tight. Not only were they not tight, I had three of the too-lightly welded on secondary stabilizer pegs just break off leaving the hooks to swing freely on the pegboard - precisely what I had hoped to avoid.I'll just buy from the local home improvement stores and jury-rig something to make them fit tightly - you'd think this would be easy, it ain't rocket science, but noooooo...

I ordered these because I have 1/4" metal pegboard, and the smaller sizes, while functional like to slip out.These were the correct size, and fit well. That said, the construction and quality control was terrible. 3 of the 15 hooks had the bottom peg attached crooked enough that they wouldn't fit in the holes. A little tap from a hammer fixed one, broke one, and straighten another (but it still wouldn't fit).Looking at the weld which attached the bottom peg - it's adequate for what it needs to do (sit there with little to no stress) but is a total joke.I'm not bothering to return these, but consider them pretty shameful on the part of Stanley.

I have 1/4 inch fiberboard pegboard and purchased these. They are well made and sturdy but are slightly too large to fit my pegboard. I'm really disappointed since the description clearly says they're for 1/4 inch holes. Too much of a hassle to return a $10 item but I believe the description is misleading or maybe the holes are slightly off although the pegboard is from a big box store and should be accurate.

These hooks are in fact the Heavy Duty type as described by the other users. They fit properly in the 1/4" pegboard, unlike the hooks designed to fit in both 1/4" & 1/8", which do not fit securely, or need plastic anchors to hold them in. I purchased my hooks used from "Life and Home", fulfilled by Amazon. The hooks came with the cardboard back from the package, and are in perfect condition. Why they were available used is beyond me, but It reduced them to about $2/pack.This set contains 15 total pieces, including 5 Large "U" hooks, 5 small "U" hooks, & 5 straight or "L" hooks.

I'm going to give it 4 stars because the heft and built quality of these are solid, at least for me. HOWEVER..... and this is tricky because I don't know if it's the peg board I purchased from Amazon (Tempered Wood Pegboard TPB-2BRF 24-Inch W x 48-Inch H x 1/4-Inch D Heavy Duty Commercial Grade Round Hole) or the these hooks but they don't stay mounted and hold onto the pegboard securely. Yes, they mount fine and will hold a lot of weight but lift anything off them and they slip out of the hole. Don't know if the holes in the peg board are a bit larger than they need to be or the hook's 1/4" diameter is just a fraction thinner. I would have thought the combination of the heavy duty pegboard (which is actually exactly what I was hoping for in regards to it's stiffness and quality) and these Stanley hooks would have been a match made in heaven, but seems like the bride shouldn't have been wearing white.

This is a nice assortment of useful peg hooks. Not too long, and enough variety in shapes that they work very well for hanging tools. With one pack, I was able to hang my digital calipers, die wrench, bullet puller, primer tube, and pliers for my reloading bench, with several hooks to spare. Exactly what i wanted, and they fit very securely/snugly in 1/4" hole pegboard.Highly recommended!
