I love this book. I have only had a chance to read halfway into it, but it is amazingly detailed and I love the organization of the information. I have 20(+) years and 2 wars under my belt but I think the manner in which this book is written is still easy to gain full understanding without extensive military background. IT will still require some level of outside book research if you really want a full grasp on the sniper mentality and training you will need prior to considering yourself operationally prepared. Clearly there is not replacement for experaince in a sniper field, but this will set a strong foundation from someone to begin the push of point from.

This is the 2009 edition. I was looking for a print edition of the 2017 (most recent manual) which includes the new weapons, tools, and data collection techniques... this is the 2009 version. It does not include anything about the XM 2010 (.300WM). Good for civilians, outdated for sniper reference.

Full of useful information. Not necessarily to read it all but can find a lot.

This book covers different skills and expectations that are required by snipers. Many topics are covered including the equipment.Con: This book is a little outdated when it comes to equipment and weapons which I don’t mind. But other readers may want accurate updated info on the weapons systems.
