Portable Chainsaw Mill 24 Inches Planking Milling Bar Size 14 Inches to 24 Inches

Pros - This mill does exactly what it is supposed to do. Construction of it is fine, it is sturdy enough to do the job and keep you relatively safe from the chain. I got what I wanted and am completely satisfied with it. But there are several reasons I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5...read on.. Cons - the manual is simplistic, insufficient and inaccurate. If you aren't already familiar with chainsaw mills or at least power tools, then trying to put this thing together could result in you being seriously injured when trying to use it. This did not apply to me but, still, the fact that this had to be the worst manual in history for a potentially deadly dangerous tool rates at least one star off. If you are not familiar with similar items I would recommend being cautious with this purchase - it could literally get you maimed or killed. But... For my own use? Heck, I have been cutting wood for 40 years. For my use, it is Great. I like it. I would purchase another if needed.

Assembled it last night and will try to put in use sometime this week depending on my schedule. It appears to be built well and will last for a long time. I hope to be able to use for a long time.

I was excited to try out this device but was disappointed with the hard to follow directions and some pieces missing from the shipment. The bolts used to clamp down on your chainsaw's bar wore out their threading very fast, so I purchased my own replacements along with nuts to hold it in place.

DO NOT BUY THESE RAILS!!! I got the chainsaw mill and rails from these guys. The actual mill is pretty decent, just lower quality than Granberg products as expected. As for these rails, they have been an absolute headache! Problems: 1 Missing 6 nuts for the carriage bolts 2 missing washers 3 missing all Connection pieces for the dogs (I went and bought some and used washers from home depot as pictured) 4 Directions are illegible as well as just plain wrong 5 Inventory was sharpied in and still wrong (no hex washers, missing parts) 6 bolts are not machined nicely, have burs 6 cross rails are not strong enough to properly tighten and bent as pictured. I wasn't even putting much pressure on them. 7 many bolt holes are too large, measurements inaccurate. You are probably better off using a ladder than buying these POS rails!!

Product was easy to assemble, is sturdy and seems to be very well made.
