Q: Can this tool be used to reshape an out of round copper pipe?

I have not used it that way, but presume it would. You may want to try a technique that uses an adjustable wrench set to the pipe OD and rotate it around the warped section. Hope this helps.

Yes but it’s a bit hard. But if you are just soldering instead of brazing, stick to couplings and reducers.

this tool will do the job but it will be less expensive just to buy a 1/2 to 3/4 copper fitting.
