I wanted to get a "calming canoe" like my autistic daughter has in her classroom. I was worried it wouldn't be as sturdy or big.. and she would end up breaking it, as she is 11. This is perfect. She adores it. Thank you so much!!

Yes, this works well as being fun, and comfortable for a child. I bought the smaller one. However, it is not as durable as it should be for the price, and you can't remove the cover for washing. Within a month, we had to patch a hole in the seam. We used the included patch and a large pool patch over that and so far it is holding. The material collects a lot of lint/dust which bothers one of my ASD students, but we just lint roll it frequently.

I have a 15 year old ASD son w/sensory issues. They had this at his middle school and he loved it. Due to the upheaval of the pandemic and starting to home school, I bought it to help him regulate. He loves pressure and loves to nestle in this. He is 5'11" and about 130lbs. He is rough on things and it seems like he won't break this. Luckily, it comes with a patch kit. This size is huge, so keep it in mind. We live in a small house and it takes up our living room, but happy kid, happy family. Well worth it.

My adopted daughter was born with NAS, and we used this product for extra sensory input. She slept in it for a month or so, but then found it uncomfortable. Went back to a regular bed. The product itself is very well made and, although she uses it as a toy, has withstood a lot of rough play.

My daughter will go in the canoe on her own and read. This is a game changer!! She loves it and the color! Highly recommend.
