XSound Go Bluetooth Speaker, 16W, 24H Playtime, IPX7 Waterproof

I wanted a speaker to listen to podcasts and music which gave better sound quality than my tinny Moto G, and after a few disappointments in the low budget end of the spectrum this little Tribit speaker really hits all the right notes. I'm no audiophile, and the only other good portable speaker I've used was a Gear4 Streetparty, but I'm very impressed by the all-round performance here. Bluetooth pairing is simple and quick. The sound is in stereo, clear and with enough bass to satisfy if you aren't going to be listening to heavy house party music or looking to really "feel" the beats go through you. The range of volume is just right, and can go surprisingly loud without distortion. I'd compare it to a good quality stereo radio despite it's tiny size. The build feels solid and has a good amount of heft to it. The controls can be a little hard to see - adding colour to them would have been helpful for those of us without great eyesight or just who are going to use it in low-light conditions, as the shapes aren't obvious to the touch. I wouldn't feel comfortable hanging it from any bags like the promo shots show though as it's weight would make me concerned that one good knock and it'd get damaged purely from being so heavy! Also the lanyard being just a piece of knotted nylon cord doesn't give me great confidence in its strength. Battery life so far has been amazing; despite being used regularly since receiving it, it hasn't needed topping up from the 80% charge it came with. I wish it came with a USB plug (or an option to buy one), as it's nigh impossible to find the 5v/1A it says it requires without resorting to online sellers. It'd be good to know your charger was fit for purpose and not going to damage this little beauty. For my purposes in a home environment, so far it's been the perfect little addition to my home office and I'm very pleased with the quality.

I had bought a couple of Bluetooth speakers in the past. The ADX Atom and Mesh speakers in 2013 and 2016 and I thought they sounded ok, very clear and a bit of bass, just not enough bass for me. so I was looking for a new speaker that wasn't too expensive, had good sound and was small and light enough to take traveling. There are so many to choose from it is difficult to know which will actually sound ok and which will sound terrible. After seeing reviews of the Tribit XSound go from ClavinetJunkie on youtube and knowing that he had helped tune its sound through his advice I thought I would give it a try. The speaker I initially received had a problem with tracks with heavy bass, such as Gorilaz "Kids with guns, U2 "with or without you", Muse "maddness" etc. it would buzz and vibrate, like a speaker was loose and resonating. I reported to Tribit and after proving the issue by recording some evidence of the buzzing and emailing it to them they sent out a replacement without me needing to return the broken one. The replacement arrived only 5 days after I received the 1st one and on a SUNDAY. The new speaker is much better. The sound quality is very good and no buzzing on heavy bass tracks. I don't know how long the battery lasts as I haven't had it long enough. It did struggle a few times to connect on Bluetooth when I first got it but I think that was mainly due to the fact my phone got confused with the 1st speaker and the 2nd one. Once I "forgot" the first speaker it worked ok. On my android phone (Moto G3) and Tablet (Galaxy tab 10) watching video is fine, no lip synch issues on youtube, netflix or any video player. But I also own an iPhone for work and that does have some synch issues. Both Netflix and youtube on the iPhone have a delay of about a second which makes ruins the experience. So it seems the speaker is ok as it works on Android and any video synch issues are probably just an Apple problem. Maybe iPhones only work properly with Apple speakers! if you only listen to music on the iPhone its not a problem. The sound quality is really good, very full with clarity and decent bass. I think it is putting out as much bass as possible for its size, putting it on a shelf in my dinning room it is about as good as a mini hifi system. I don't believe any reviews that say this hasn't got much bass. What are they comparing it to? for £30 its really really good. It is plenty loud enough. I listen using poweramp and use the bass and treble equalizer setting which makes it sound really good. For 30 quid you really can't go wrong and this shows how far the small speaker technology has come since 2013 when I bought my first one for a lot more money than this. I would definitely recommend it and be confident that Tribit will be quick to help if you have any issues. I am intrigued as to how good the XBoom sounds as ClavinetJunkie also had involvement in tuning the sound of that.

Excellent little speaker very portable great sound for the size with bass boost and adjustable EQ good battery life and app,well worth the money if you're looking for something small and can fit in your pocket look no further and unlike most small Bluetooth speakers which are almost always mono sound this one is stereo, Recommend

When buying a Bluetooth speaker for a camping trip I was going on soon, I wanted to buy something that I would enjoy using in the future. I did a lot of research on budget Bluetooth speakers, and this one by Tribit- the XSound Go, came up a lot. I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy this variant over the slightly more expensive MaxSound Plus. The unboxing experience was good and simple. Everything was snuggly fitted with nice branding within the box and the Bluetooth speaker already on some power to be able to give it a test run straight out of the box. One small problem was the sealing tab for the charging and aux ports. When trying to close this, it would always slowly protrude out, but once it was packed into my rucksack snuggly, it fixed itself in place, so this requires just some pressure for an extended time to iron out. However, a thing to note is that this tab is really hard to take out when using just your fingers, so have a coin handy or something of the sort if you want to charge it. When initially testing it out, I was nervous, but once I turned it on, all of those nerves melted away. I had the Speaker on my desk about a forearm's length away, and I was blown away. The volume was not on all the way, but still was very reasonably loud. At it's (Not even) loudest, my mum said she could hear it from the garden when I was upstairs! The sound quality is also something to not be laughed at. The clarity was really really good for it's price point, and you would not be thinking this is a budget Speaker. There was certainly a bit of a bass boost, which I feel should always be appreciated on a Bluetooth Speaker. When listening to music like the Beatles and various 70s and 80s hits, everything sounded great without any dips in quality and could easily listen to it all day long. However, I would've definitely welcomed a Bass Boost button or function that the MaxSound Plus provides. The portability of this Speaker is also really pleasing as it's very very easy to fit into a rucksack with no problems. This also makes it a really nice Speaker for the shower as well. From my usage of this Speaker, I have used it a metre or so away from the shower head, and pressing the buttons with wet hands doesn't cause any problems whatsoever, the charging and . The battery performance is absolutely amazing. The advertised 24 hours of playtime is certainly not joking around. I went camping for 2 days and this speaker was on pretty much constantly, and I didn't need to recharge it whatsoever! Now a slight downside to this amazing Bluetooth speaker. My girlfriend has an iPhone and was the primary user of the Speaker as she had music downloaded. The Bluetooth Speaker works fine if the iPhone is uncovered and 5metres away from the speaker, but when it gets further or is covered by something, the audio became choppy and problematic. However, it wasn't much of a problem to me personally as when my girlfriend moved out of range, I'd ask her to disconnect and connect my phone to continue playing. In conclusion, if you're looking to buy a budget speaker, don't look any further. This speaker offers everything you need and more. An impressive volume range with a very nice sound quality on a grand battery life. If you're a massive bass lover like I am, I'd say also give the MaxSound Plus a go, but I would still say, you definitely would not regret buying this Bluetooth Speaker, especially for this price!

I have several Bluetooth speakers but they have always seemed inferior to stereo hifi speakers - You miss out on the immersion you get from the stereo imaging and stereo pairing only seemed possible with expensive speakers that seemed to involve a lot of fiddling with unreliable apps etc.. Got one of these as a cheap replacement for an old speaker that had died and even though I wasn’t expecting it from the comments and questions, it comes with very simple instructions for pairing with a second.. so I got another as they are relatively inexpensive not really expecting much and they are amazing! They pair up incredibly easily, just switch both on, hold down the BT button on one of them for 5 secs and it automatically finds the other, it announces which channel is which and that’s it! It now connects up acting just like one speaker and if you power one off it automatically turns the other one off! Even switching back to one speaker while the other one charges is easy, you just turn one on and it automatically acts independently again. They sound incredible for their size (and price), there is zero hiss, no noticeable lag in the stereo and if you position them equidistant from your ears the stereo image is perfect! There is not a lot of bass and one on its own isn’t very loud, but compared to other speakers in same price range it’s fantastic value and the stereo pairing is so good, really simple and works brilliantly! It even shows the speaker battery level on my phone, something even my expensive Bluetooth speakers don’t do! Totally exceeded my expectations!

I knew another purchase of Tribit speakers would not disappoint and they certainly didn't. I had the previous version of this speaker which served me well in the office and when I saw these had been upgraded with added True Stereo Pairing and USB Type C fast charging I just had to but a pair for my set up at home. The sound from these is fantastic and they are positioned on my desk perfectly to enjoy superbly separated left and right channel sound - Great for music and adds a new dimension to watching films on my mac. Good bass, detailed vocals, the louder you turn it up the better it gets. Although to keep the rest of the household happy I need to keep them on low volume as no one else appreciates my musical tastes :) Once paired up they will remember and automatically pair the next time they are both switched on. Switch one of them off and they both switch off. Bluetooth connection is flawless from both mac desktop / macbook pro and my Sony Xperia I phone and Samsung tablet. I absolutely love these - I have always loved these. Just get. For the price these are the best you can get at this price point. They are a top quality build and a fantastic size. Soft feel rubberised coating with meta grill and they have some weight to them too. Just as a reference point I am no Audiophile but I like the best in affordable sound quality and own both Sony Sony Wh-1000XM3 over ear headphones and Sony WF-1000XM3 Wireless Earbuds. I am happy to have these speakers to complement my audio collection. You can also play with the sound with an app called Bass Boost available from the play store to tweak the sound to your own preference. The app has always worked brilliantly for me although I do like the standard Tribit settings and they complement many styles of music. I have them set up under my Mac and once charged they will last for ages without neededing to be recharged. or you could simply keep them plugged in so they will always be fully charged for when you want to take them out and about. TBF I knew what I was getting and has absolutely no hesitation in getting two. Now you should do the same and scroll up / add two into your basket and checkout. Can't wait to see what Tribit come out with next - I am a big fan.

One of the best speakers

This speaker is impressive, and probably a very much better product than any other currently on the market for the same kind of money. Sound is exceptionally well balanced with clear expression and good control. After a week of heavy use an initial treble harshness has disappeared leaving a smooth and enjoyable sound stage with more than adequate base which does not drown out well defined mids and treble. Using it next to a chromebook via bluetooth, streamed classical music is suprisingly enjoyable whilst speech sounds excellent. It is plenty loud enough even for my old ears. I initially bought a much larger Ikea product and then the 'best selling' speaker on Amazon. Both sounded disappointingly 'muddy' and lacked detail compared to this Tribit. I suspect I would have to spend considerably more money than the tribit cost to get anything that sounds better. It is a pity that this speaker cannot be paired with another to produce a stereo sound stage. I do hope that Tribit might consider this as an option. I feel sure a 'stereo' pair of these speakers would sell like hot cakes. Edit. The speaker developed a fault. Severe crackling which dissipates after about 30 seconds of audio using my Chromebook. Tribit customer service has been superb in efforts to resolve the issue. In the end was sent a replacement speaker, but alas the same problem persists. Both speakers work fine using aux connection, but both are not connecting via bluetooth before having to endure a long introduction of crackle regardless of the source. This does not occur with another bluetooth speaker in my possession, so the problem is presumably in the bluetooth interface between my particular Toshiba chromebook and the tribit (solution anyone?). This is a great pity as I otherwise stand by my above review. A very good speaker. Second Edit. An automatic update to Chrome OS in August 2019 has solved this problem. Crackling has now gone so problem was not speaker related.

Very happy after a few years! Good sound in stereo. Use it on holidays on the beach and also when taking baths.

Good sound quality with enough bass. Compact design. The On/Off button responds immediately, without needing to be held for 1–2 seconds. The only downside is that the product photos are misleading: they show the buttons in white, but in reality they are not.
