This was a great book about baby and adult teeth and the make-up of the human tooth. I really liked it!

This book takes something that is scary for some kids - going to the dentist - and makes it light and funny. The illustrations are silly and not serious. They look like they were meant to make children laugh and erase any fear of the dentist. The text is easy for kids to understand and goes between being silly to giving some great dental education on how to care for our teeth. The author gives great explanations of the different kinds of teeth that we have, what ages we get them and lose them, and even the insides of a tooth. I think children would learn a lot from this book in a way that is fun and light.

The Tooth Book by Mark Backers is a great book with lots of colorful art, fun pictures, education on teeth, dentist, and dental repairs. Shows the different kinds of teeth we have and what they are used for, when each erupt, when they fall out, and when the new ones come in. All of this comes After a cute little guessing game to see what might be coming in place of where a boy lost a tooth. They guess many funny things that start with the letter T. Really an excellent book!

The story has you guessing which 'T' thing is coming in in place of a tooth, but could have been a few samples shorter. The information about your teeth was definitely not for younger children as it will be way over their heads at times and the illustrations can be scary or off putting as well.

The big hilarious illustrations in this book are very entertaining, and young readers/listeners will learn lots, from words that start with T (love the Taco drawing!) to the facts about each of their teeth and what their use is. Also the message to care for your teeth and how to go about it is stressed. As a grandmother who wished she'd taken better care of her teeth as a youngster, this book will be read aloud over and over to my little one!

This book has a silly story about a kid waiting for their adult tooth to come in which teaches kids different T words but is really fun. After the short story, the author goes into the facts about teeth - baby teeth and adult teeth and what they do, parts of a tooth and what a cavity is. Then the book talks about good dental hygiene and how to keep your teeth healthy. I personally learned a lot too. Would recommend this book.
