It's longer than 1 year now, my daughter still love us reading Bible and praying with her. The book, it's big and heavy but I would say I like this more than small simple Bible stories. Here's why, 1. it includes more, both old and new testaments are included, which helps children understand the fullness of the whole Bible, it's not just about Jesus miracles, it also included people reactions toward things and their relationship with God; that's also reason 2. we still relate to the old stories nowadays; 3. when we adults read it to our children, it's like a reminder to us of what God says too, then we can pray about it together as a family; 4. it's heavy to hold, and I think it somehow show that being Christian, we have to take up our cross and follow Jesus(Mark 3:34). There are lots more to love this version of Children Bible. The illustrations are very real and beautiful. We would spot the animals or babies or weather, make use of the pretty pictures and make it the exciting part to look forward to tomorrow bedtime, "Oh look, this is the story we'll read tomorrow.
