Lovely little book nook. Really enjoyed completing this. Make sure you purchase some super glue. I used 5 3g tubes of it. Also when removing the pieces from the board make sure you use a craft knife to trace around the edge to cut the seal holding the piece in place. If you do not then you could risk breaking some delicate parts. There are no stickers in this kit which I liked as it make the kit last longer. The instructions are colourful and easy to follow. The finished product is beautiful.

A few hours of activity, really enjoyed it, quality pieces. Be careful removing them from the wooden sheets as some of the pieces are fragile and can break. Looks lovely with the lights on!

I loved this, it’s a great fun project to build and results in a wonderful magical book nook, that lights up beautifully and you almost wish you could step inside and explore its cosiness. It’s not easy to build, but the instructions are easy to follow and precise and comes with all the materials and tools you need. Although I didn’t rush it, it does take time to build, but the pieces are precision cut, fit together really well and it’s a sturdy little scene. I’ve since bought two more - more for the fun of building them, but neither has the build quality of this one.

Loved it, but why glue is not supplied ?

The first kit I ordered didn’t arrive, so I had to request a refund and reorder, which was a bit frustrating. Once it arrived, though, I really enjoyed the build overall. The design is lovely, with lots of detail, and the lights are especially nice. However, some of the delicate wooden parts were very fiddly to remove from the moulds without damage. No glue is supplied, which is worth noting, and the instructions are not the best—but not the worst either. Structurally, the design isn’t the strongest, but with good-quality glue it holds together well. Having built several book nooks, I’d say this is a good kit, though not the best I’ve had. Other book nooks I’ve built excel in a few key areas. For example, some have discreet touch lights on the top rather than a switch on the back, which is much easier to access when the nook is on a bookshelf. In this kit, all parts need to be glued, whereas some other designs use a mix of limited gluing with fit-and-lock pieces. The books in this kit also need to be cut and glued; in other kits they’re stickers, which avoids cutting and gluing altogether. Personally, I preferred the cutting and gluing as it adds to the building experience, though I appreciate that this may not suit everyone. Some kits also include more tools, such as glue or a small hammer. This one includes stickers to secure the light wires and a small screwdriver for the battery pack, but nothing more. One final point: the kit has a hole at the back where a music module can be added, but this isn’t mentioned until you open the box. I ended up covering the hole with a picture to hide it. This really should not be an optional extra or at least clearly stated beforehand. Despite these points, it’s still an enjoyable and satisfying build. The finished piece looks great on a bookshelf, the lighting really brings the scene to life, and it’s a kit I’d happily recommend to anyone who enjoys detailed, hands-on book nook projects. Update-having had this nook book on the bookshelf for a few days now we have found out that if the lighy switch is left on, the lights will go out if no motion is detected! Meaning the lights are sensored. This solves the issue of the switch being at the back. Nice touch!

Great level of detail. Loved by 13 year old niece. Can be fiddly for younger children to complete alone.

Bought this for my teenage daughter and she really enjoyed putting it together. It now looks really great on her bookshelf

Poor quality and poor instructions compared to other kits I have bought. Wood easily splintered with some pieces breaking and could not be used. Parts were very loose fit, and everything required gluing, including labels that are self adhesive on other makes. Heat sensor did not work. Overall disappointing and not as much fun to make as other kits.

das Design ist sehr hübsch, mit vielen kleinen Details die es umso lebendiger machen. Der Aufbau ist sehr abwechslungsreich und fordert einen echt heraus. Gefällt mir sehr und würde es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Il libretto di istruzioni e' un valido (e fondamentale) aiuto e le immagini sono piu' che esaustive. Le tavolette sono sagomate e colorate per cui basta staccarle e posizionarle. In piu' serve colla, forbici e tanta pazienza nell'assemblamento perche' i pezzettini sono piccoli e tanti... ma ne vale assolutamente la pena perche' il risultato finale e' pieno di dettagli minuti. Il riultato e' stato spettacolare, sembra davvero un piccolo borgo! -Ovvimanete non stiamo parlando di un giocattolo e non e' adatto per bambini piccoli- Note dolenti: 1) Le lucine hanno i fili tutti della stessa lunghezza invece alcuni sevivano qualche centimetro piu' lunghi....fortunatamente alcuni erano sufficienti piu' corti per cui ho potuto fare delle giunzioni e attaccarli alla scatolina della batteria per accendere tutto. 2) C'e' la possibilta' di aggiungere un carillon ma l'ho scoperto quando avrei dovuto montarlo. Se interessa bisogna ricordarsi di ordinarlo a parte. (La foto del modello del carillon da comprare e' nel libretto di istruzioni)

Dieses Book Nook ist sauber verarbeitet und gut durchdacht. Die Einzelteile passen präzise zusammen, und die Anleitung ist verständlich aufgebaut. Der Zusammenbau erfordert logischerweise etwas Zeit und Sorgfalt, aber es macht insgesamt viel Spaß. Das LED-Licht funktioniert zuverlässig und setzt die das ganze am ENde optisch ansprechend in Szene. Ergänzt unser Bücherregal hervorragend.
