Works as expected on COM ports.
Works as advertised, required a cable to connect to my old router and it only has a single management interface, so now with this easily connected to my pc (also in the rack) I can manage the router easily, works with putty via com ports.No driver required, except a putty installation if you want to, but its not necessary.The cable is thin, except for the USB connector which is quite chonky, but the end is bendable a little, just be careful with it. not seeing any issue with the possibility to rewire to an rj45 jack either as the cables are documented in the box with a leaflet as well as on the page.

It fitted both very well and I could work everything I needed
The DSD TECH SH-RJ12C USB to RJ12 6P4C RS232 Serial Cable arrived the next day.The usb/serial cable was well packed and looked to be well made complete with instructions.I wanted the USB to Serial Cable to connect my Mac computer to control a nexstar telescope .It fitted both very well and I could work everything I needed and we are pleased with the cable and how it works.
