I am not an "RC" enthusiast even though I grew up buying a bunch of them and have owned a bunch. This is by far the most "advanced" one I've owned. I bought this for me and me son (7) to play with and for that purpose, it's well beyond it's price point thus far and for what I was hoping. First off, I was expecting much more of a hobby like set up. Nope. It's pretty much RTR out of the box. Charge up the batteries, add them to the controller, put the body on the frame with the pins (and install the rear wing if you want to).... and you're off. It's not as big as I was hoping but all of the other reviews already said that - more a 1/12. That doesn't mean it's small, it's just not giant. I would put it's top speed around 20+... definitely not 30 MPH (48KMH like they say). This is actually totally sufficient and good for something in this price range I'd say. And the way it gets to that speed is great. It rips through leaves, pine straw, pretty much anything. I've launched it off walls in our backyard... my son's bike jumps.... it definitely seems very well built.

This truck is great and drives very nice, the speed is just right not to fast or to slow. the only two things I had trouble with was one of the front shocks broke my second time driving it. The other was the motor, it got burnt out. It was all my fault for using a too powerful battery. That's not why I ended up returning it, I returned it because I couldn't find a single replacement motor for the car. other than a brushless motor that required me to spend more to also get a brushless ECS. Over all its a great truck and worth buying but cant find much spare parts if broken.

I decided to introduce myself into the RC cars Hobby world by selecting a product that may coexist with reasonable Price, Size, good Speed and parts availability… So, I selected the Hosim Large Size 1:12 Scale. I did some mods for inserting two 9125 Battery 2000 mah Lipo Battery 7.4v and removing some little plastic elements to reduce the weight. Update 2020-02-18: I installed the upgraded shocks and the difference is abysmal!!!... the upgraded shocks is a must buy!!! Update 2021-03-20 (the Wave Update): Keep this truck way from the shore of the beach or way from water splashes; it can get damaged with a single water wave as I am facing right now. The receiver or ESC of this truck will not survive water splashes o waves at the beach as the manufacturer claimed in the product's pictures. The transmitter developed problems almost immediately, getting stuck going forward and failing to reverse. I've tried contacting Hosim multiple times and heard nothing back. Option now is to purchase another transmitter and risk wasting another $44 if that one also fails. Responding to support requests is the most basic requirement for any business.

Bought this for my son for Xmas. He drove it slowly for 2 minutes and the wheel completely snapped off. Not sure if I got a bad one, but was really disappointing.

I want to give a big shoutout to the company behind it. They've been outstanding to work with, and you won't be disappointed. My Niece, who's 12 years old, got this truck, and we were really impressed with how well-made and fast it is. Plus, it comes with two batteries, which is handy. We had a little problem with one of the batteries, but their customer service sorted it out super quickly. They sent us a brand new battery in just a few days. These folks really go above and beyond, and they deserve some recognition. I highly recommend this tough and speedy RC truck. They stand by their product! It is very fast and all terrain is perfectly works in snow areas.
