When I tell you this edge control is the end all be all I mean just that! My daughter and I have two different grades of hair so usually I would need to buy two different kinds of edge control. We have experimented with so many brands for nothing to hold us down all day. The day I gave Bask & Lather a try was the day the experimenting permanently ended. This edge control works wonders for us both. Great texture, smells heavenly, and holds extremely well! At first it left a flaky residue but water is the trick. Wiping the residue before applying more fixed that immediately. For my curl pattern and definition less is more, but for my daughter’s I’ve noticed using a little more product held her edges down longer. I love that the ingredients include castor oil which is known for promoting hair health and growth. I am a forever customer and recommend to others every chance I get, BASK & LATHER edge control is that girl!

Let me preface this review by saying that I never leave Amazon reviews. Even though I am an avid Amazon shopper, I just never go back and review products - but I had to do a review for this product. I am a natural hair girly (4B/4C to be exact), and I have been trying to find the right edge control for years, yes years! All the edge controls I have used and found thus far work for a couple of hours at best, and then they begin to lift. However, I have struck gold! This edge control stays in place for MORE than 24 hours! It lasted for two days for me. I believe it could’ve lasted longer, but I just wanted to refresh it. Make sure that you follow the instructions! The people who are leaving negative reviews saying it leaves flakes didn’t follow the directions! It tells you to use it with water (which throws a lot of us because typically water weakens the edge control, but not this one)! For reference, I went to the Jay-Z concert in New York City recently, and I was out all day and all night and my edges lasted through dancing, screaming and sweating, and the next day they were still laid (not perfect, but still laid). That says a lot! Also, even though it makes your hair stay put, it’s not super hard. It’s firm, but not hard. Do yourself a favor and get this edge control. As a caveat, I will say, that it can build up if you’re not washing your edges off. So sometimes I will wash and condition my edges just to get all the buildup from the product off. Oh! And it does not flake up if you use it with water and it has a pleasant smell. Thank me later.

I love this edge control!! At first, I was very skeptical because I didn’t know how to use it properly. It would leave a white residue on my edges. Once I started adding water while applying the product, it made a huge difference, and it no longer leaves any residue at all. It also lasts a long time and is easy to refresh throughout the day. My biggest tip is to use it with water it works amazingly well!

It holds good. It flaked up when dry is the only issue I have, but overall, it's a pretty good product..

It does hold but it also leaves heavy residue and it turns white. You honestly have to wash it after every use bc it's so heavy with wax!

This edge control is magical. It keeps the edges laid and does not flake. It smells nice, is well-priced, packaged, and timely-delivered. This is an awesome product. I have purchased it on both the original site and here on Amazon. Amazon is faster!

This is my second time ordering this product, and I absolutely love it! The hold is amazing—it keeps my hair in place without feeling stiff or flaky. I also love that it doesn't leave a white, greasy, or oily residue like some other products. The scent is one of my favorite things about it. It smells so good that I actually look forward to using it! The quality definitely matches the price, and a little goes a long way. I'll definitely continue buying this product. If you're looking for a styling product with a great hold, a pleasant scent, and a clean finish, I highly recommend giving this one a try. It's a 10/10 for me!

This product leaves pink flakes, I was hoping this will be the product for my 4c hair but not. It’s so expensive too

Nice colour colour. Does the job but does not last for long as seen advertised. I had to reapply the next day. But still nice and smooth

Don't waste your money buying this edge control.It leaves a horrible white cast and does not lay your edges at all.Very disappointed!!!
