I ordered this hat to go to DisneyWorld. I am a cancer survivor, and the next cancer I *will* get is skin cancer - pretty much guaranteed due to the chemo. So, I wear a hat everyday, no matter what. I have over 50 in my collection.This hat was PERFECT for the trip. Even though I had brought others, I wore this one everyday. It kept me from getting sunburned, but was never hot due to the mesh. I loved the snaps - in the picture you could see the left side up. Depending on the time of day, I could put both sides down or up - it looked great with whatever I was wearing.And it is CRUSHABLE. Didn't matter how I packed it or how i put it on - it always looked great FOR WHAT IT IS. It's not a fashion hat, and a few wrinkles add to the character of it.Love this hat. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Runs a little small but a pretty cool hat

I got a sun hat on trip to Europe to visit my grandmother when I was 12. I enjoyed wearing it regardless of how I looked, but that's another story. Never got one till now...decades later. I don't leave many reviews, but I was pleased with this hat.SIZE: The adjustable belt\loop that sits around the outside of the cap part is perfect for anyone and especially for smaller heads. Maybe for bigger heads as well, but I only have the small one.DRAW STRING: The draw string works perfectly. The leather strap draw string the cord lock is on could get worn and cause the lock to loose grip down the road, but I suspect it will be fine. The draw string is on the thin side, but it keeps the hat lighter.SNAPS: The rim snaps were in the right location and are not cheap quality snaps. I like the way the sides snap up so I look a little Australian.VENTS: The vent material is perfect, but could wear out over time or too much use in the wash. Easy to sew in a replacement vent patch if ever needed.MATERIAL: The hat material is good too. It's not thin, but it's also not too thick. Some sun hats are thicker and counter-productive to their purpose. This material won't likely tear or wear to easily.

I have a rather large cranium; my hat size is 7 5/8ths" to 7 3/4ths" depending upon the manufacturer. So, I took a chance and ordered this boonie hat for beach trips and boat fishing; surprisingly, it fit quite well! This hat is breathable, cool, lightweight, and yet it is sturdy.The positive reviews regarding this boonie hat are accurate! In fact, those positive reviews are the main reason I decided to order this particular hat.Naturally, I felt inclined to write my own positive review in order to help the cause.

Received the hat on time, and was happy with fit and quality. There was a bag in the package with a couple of small items in it, but I didn't pay any attention to it. MY BAD! When I put the hat on today and went to snap the sides up, I found one of the snaps was missing. That's what was in the little bag, a broken snap. Someone had returned the hat with a broken snap, and the seller just resold it to me. I can replace the snap easier than returning the hat, but this is just another notch in my "don't buy online" stick! That stick is almost taller than me.

I bought this hat for my hiking trip to glacier and was very happy with this purchase. It’s light weight and keeps your head cool. It isn’t bulky and it looks attractive.

I had to chuckle at reviews claiming these aren't "stylish." Good grief! They're just boonie hats ... for $17! I'd call them "stylishly unstylish" and a LOT better looking than their similar price competitors. I like the contrasting color embroidered logo, the vent pattern, the adjustable and removable belt, and because they're cotton rather than polyester — on really hot days, I want to be able to wet down the hat and have it keep my head cooler by evaporation. As that belt is removable, I may just occasionally replace it with similar width colored lanyards with sports team logos. I reversed the belt direction and shifted the buckle to the left side for a more traditional style.I bought two of these: one to go with a brownish fleece jacket and one khaki, which in the photo appeared to be a light clay, which should reflect more light in summer sun. Their actual colors are my only disappointment. The hat I expected to be brown is actually olive, though the mesh venting is brown (green logo). The khaki model is quite a bit darker than I anticipated and is a sort of tannish gray (yellowish logo).

Nice style…good fit..awesome for the pool. Keeps sun off your ear if unsnap and flip down..
