Good value easy to take

Xspan Lab's advert for their potassium supplement caught my attention by mentioning "keto". I choose to follow a keto / very low carb diet in an attempt to control my blood sugars. This excludes all fruit and severely limits the vegetables I eat. It concerns me that this may leave me low in potassium. Potassium does appear to provide all sorts of important health benefits. In my case, I focus on it's importance to combat osteoporosis and heart disease. There are many other important possible benefits from getting enough potassium, as well as harms from consuming too little. However, if you are eating lots of vegetables, do you really need a supplement at all? Estimates as to how much potassium should be consumed daily vary widely, with a minimumn 2,600mg for a woman over 51 (me!) but also a suggested possible RDA of 4,700mg. This supplement offers 1000mg, but only if you take two tablets. I am currently following my usual, cautious and frugal policy with supplements and halving the suggested dose. That means this pack will last me four months and my risk of over-dosing is zero. These capsules are easy to swallow and a reasonable size. I give 5 stars for taste because of course there is none. No lurking sugars, and, for the vegans, no animal-derived gelatine. If you want to shop around, be careful to check the potassium content of supplements which may appear cheaper. It can be very low - hardly worth taking them. A cheaper option may be to buy a pack of Low Salt, a mixture of sodium and potassium available in supermarkets. BTW we are lucky here in the UK to be able to buy a potassium supplement that gives us a significant dose. In the USA potassium supplements are legally limited to just 100mg, which certainly protects the consumer from over-dosing, but makes the supplement useless.

Good price and delivery on time.

Supplement okay. The only down side for me is the powdery texture that tends to hint that some else has been added.

I don't always get the recommend potassium each day and these have really helped.These capsules are easy to swallow and I definitely have more energy now I recommend these as the price is very good value.

Finally potassium in a dosage form I can swallow. Brilliant, easy to store container.

As my potassium levels were low I needed a tablet to raise my levels
