Colorful, Fun Game for Preschoolers to Learn Letter Recognition
Educational Insights makes such great preschool games! I love buying them as birthday gifts for friends. This is the third in a series with the animal shaped squeezer (toucan) which is great for the fine motor development that my kids need to help strengthen the muscles for their pencil grip. This one is perfect for my 4 year old who knows his letters. It's also a good introduction to strategy because there's only one of each letter. So if your opponent already has the one you need, you can steal it, or you'll need to choose a different letter. It's also sort of like Bingo, you need to get 4 in a row to win. My 2.5 year old likes to play too, but it's better for my 4 year old. We love to learn by playing and games, especially those from Educational Insights are a great way to do that. I love the bright colors too and that the box is part of the game board, similar to the other 2 games in the series. (Sneaky Snacky Squirrel and Shelby's Snack Shack)

Great for toddlers and preschoolers looking to learn letter recognition
I bought this for my twin toddlers to help them with their letters, it's been great! Within an hour of playing my daughter was able to recognize six new letters! They love playing this so much they don't even realize they're learning! The pieces are sturdy and the spinners work great and are easy for toddlers to spin. The wobbly fruit bowls add an extra element of silliness to a really fun, easy to learn game! It's like Bingo with letters, and I can see my children enjoying this for years to come.

Simple game for preschool and kindergarten
My alphabet-obsessed 3 year old grandson loves playing with the letters and matching them to the same letter spaces on the game boards and doing it independently. Playing the game with others is hit or miss, but the older he gets, the better he does at it. He has the fine motor skills to write legible letters and to use scissors somewhat effectively, so I am surprised that he struggles to use the toucan tongs the way the game intends. So we all use our hands and will keep trying with the tongs as his coordination improves. Educational Insights has several games that are similar to this. My 4 year old grandson loves The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel counting game which is why we got this one for a grandson in a different household.

3 year old LOVES this game!
My 3 years old LOVES this game! This whole line of Educational Insights games are super fun for toddlers/ preschool age kiddos. This one focuses on letters. It's simple to learn and play, but offers an educational challenge for those younger kiddos. The rest of the family likes to play with my 3 year old as well. Obviously it is not a challenge for my 8 year old and my husband and I, but it's still fun to play! We gift this one often!

easy and fun
I saw the complaints and almost didn't get it but i'm glad I did! The three spinners is not tricky at all. Just spin them! We play that if you get a monkey or spin again on ANY spinner then you have to follow that one. It's a quick game for those that don't want to play for hours but you can play it 2-3 times in a row without getting bored. I've only had it a few days but my preschooler picked up the letter Z, Q, and S that she didn't know at all, and is more confident on the letters she did know. So I think it's worth the money and i'd buy it again if something happened to it.
