The Good, the Bad and the Ugly [Blu-ray] [1968] [2014]

Arguably the best Western ever made. Faultlessly directed, superb actors. Clint Eastwood is a superb actor and this shines through in this. But the other major actors (Eli Wallach as Tuco) and (Lee Van Clef as Angel Eyes) are superb too and their performances are excellent. I've watched this many times from VHS video, DVD and now to this 2014 remastered blu ray version. The picture and sound quality are absolutely stunning. The sharpness and detail is incredible for what is a 50 year old film and at a little over £8 it is ridiculously good value. Also, I found the colours to be very natural and nice and vivid. I cannot see any yellow cast that other reviewers have mentioned (perhaps you need to alter your TV's picture settings)! Also, there is in excess of 1hour 30 minutes of extras. I've only part watched them but what I have watched so far which were interviews with Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and the Producer of The Good The Bad And The Ugly, have been extremely interesting, with all their stories they tell on the making of it, which goes even more to make this ridiculously good value.

Who doesn’t love a good old spaghetti western and this is probably the most famous and definitely with one of the best music scores ever.

Loved this film, brought back memories when I was 10 years old and this film was released I could not see it as I was too young my sister bought the soundtrack LP and I nearly wore our our record player listening to the fabulous Enio Morricone score! One of my favourite westerns.

Stunning Quality and buy taking in scenes never before seen .Makes this film even better,,The film and Sound Quality,makes you feel like seing the Film for the first time..I will surely buy the other two films now when i know how good the restoration of this the third film was. I give this old favorite of mine the highest score..Five Stars

This Blu-Ray remastered resulting from 4K scan OCN, can finally see the Leone film with a truly film-like appearance, with well resolved beautiful film-grain and colors, and really beautiful film. How to project a perfect new 35mm print. The tendency to yellow that seemed to be some screenshots is present only in a few scenes of outside. All colors are present in a rich and vibrant palette. No digital artifacts. Too bad no Italian audio.

Very good edition. Only negative side, the yellow tint throughout the movie.

One of the best Westerns ever made and starring fantastic actors like Lee Van Cleef & Clint Eastwood, and who can forget Eli Wallach as the dastardly Tuco. Everything from the story to the soundtrack to the epic Mexican Standoff gunfight this film is a masterpiece of cinema and one of my all time favourite Westerns.

I loved this classic western and it looks stunning all remastered on blu-ray, the film is very entertaining all the way through and its great to see how you Clint Eastwood looked back in the sixty's, Definitely one of the greatest westerns ever made if not the Greatest!!

The Good, Bad, and the Ugly is not what todays crowd is use to. There is no constant action and special effects. It is a classic western saga with great acting with a purpose. It is slow, but the way life use to be. It was very enjoyable to watch with Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef, as the lead actors when they were young and Mario Brega. There is plenty of entertainment, just a slower pace like life used to be in the old west.

I've seen this movie maybe 30 times in my life and I will watch it maybe 10 times more - I am getting old. I saw it on TV as a kid, at a movie theatre in (I think 80mm) on DVD, and 1080p downloads/streaming. It's an old movie but this Blue Ray was "wow".

Die längere Version hält was sie verspricht. Der Kauf lohnt sich, wir waren begeistert.
