Dog loved it so much it was gone in five minutes
For some reason, I thought it would be much bigger based on the picture. In reality, the shank was about the size of my hand. The deer bones splinter into very, very sharp pieces. I still have one sitting on my desk that is literally as pointy and pokey and strong as a needle. Dog loved it though not sure I feel good giving them deer bone again though

Boys love them - but
Our boys go nuts over these bones! I will give it 4 stars because there are 2 things I don’t love. The way the casing comes off is in very long strips so we have to watch the pups as it’s hard to chew since it doesn’t really dissolve. The second would be the way it breaks off in 2 inch chunks from the ends. Really a choking hazard so we take that part away.

Staple in my household
My dogs are on a raw diet so nutritional treats are a must !My dogs go bonkers for ziwi , they each have their favorites but they live literally everything we have tried so far ! This keeps them busy for hours ! An I love how it comes in a large size which is perfect for bigger breeds & also comes in a Half shank perfect for my Mini pup!!It’s a little expensive but I believe it is worth it for my fur babies !

Actual size is half of what is advertised!!
My 2 golden retriever pups absolutely loved this bone. HOWEVER…. One was 4 1/4 inches long for a half shank and the other was 3 inches long. Both choking hazards and I sat with them while they chewed the outer layer off and then got a bit of the main bone and then had to toss it. Way too expensive for false advertisement!! Unable to return them. As soon as I opened the Amazon box and saw the tiny bones I immediately went to return the unopened bones and was unable to. Don’t waster your money! I do not recommend.

My pug-a-chan got two different orders today...a few rolls of beef cheeks, and this 6" deer shank. IMMEDIATELY out of the box he ran over and was completely ignoring the beef rolls. How funny he looked when he was sniffing the package! Clearly there was a winner for what he preferred!I only have one complaint, and that it's very flaky. So we put him in a safe place so it wouldn't be too messy where he could clean up his crumbs! (Why he's in his gated area) he hasn't stopped munching it since he got it which was about 40 minutes ago!TL;DRGreat product, won't leave it alone, just make sure to give in an area without carpet.

VERY SMALL!
Don't get me wrong my dogs love these bones. But being that they are so small it's a 3 " maybe? Not worth the $12 price tag. I also have very big dogs and it took about 5 minutes to finish them. The texture and smell were fine no problem the appearance like I said really small. My dogs do not get diarrhea after chewing on these.They seem to be a good quality good ingredients the appearance is good for the three inches of it .I would definitely get it again if it was maybe half price.
