Accurate replacement thermostat for an Andrew James halogen oven.
This is a direct replacement for an Andrew James halogen oven and very easy to fit. My oven is just over a month old but the thermostat was way out ( burnt pastry ) and I didn't want to send back under warranty because I'm a retired engineer with plenty of spare time. New thermostat when set anywhere between 180 and 200 Deg C the cavity temperature is accurate checking with an oven thermometer. Perfect.

Replacement stat on halogen cooker.
Fitted straight on to daewoo halogen cooker. Work 1st time with no issues. Product ok and works.

NOT a straight forward fit !
Although this is a quality item it DOES NOT fit the Andrew James 12ltr halogen oven as a direct replacement as stated in the advert. You will have to remove the rotating spindle part of the thermostat, as it is far too wide to connect with the receptacle connected to the temp knob, and then fit the spindle from the old thermostat. It is a fiddly job but can be done with patience. Once fitted it does work ok but the seller needs to alter the advert to take into account the fact that it may need altering to fit some models.

Good Replacement
It works ok, but had to change the shaft due to it being different. It was a replacement one for a cook shop Halogen oven, which fits in a different way to the control knob. But the main thing it is working I think better than before.

Good technical description of product, ensuring accurate replacement item.
The head of the securing screw fixing defective thermostat within my halogen cooker needed to be drilled-off to enable the old thermostat to be removed. The (identical) replacement thermostat isn't supplied with a fixing screw, so if you too can't use the original fixing screw, you will need to find a suitable screw to complete your repair. Excellent replacement thermostat, pity it isn't supplied with a fixing screw.

Went in smoothly, turn it to lowest position and temp dial when refitting
Saved spending £40 on a new oven. Takes 20mins start to finish. If you can use a screwdriver your in... just remember when removing the fan nut, you have to turn it clockwise to undo it...simples...

Fits Andrew James
Quick delivery. Direct replacement for our Andrew James which was my main concern & the oven is fine now. Unfortunately these stats get a lot of stress and we use the oven every day. The last time it burnt out and AJ replaced the oven but now they have gone bust.
